I can thank @nigellalawson for sharing a pic from @charlotte_mendelson_ of her toasted rye bread with damson jam for this morning's breakfast. I opted for my Blackberry & Apple Jam however as it had been too long since I'd last had it🙂 I'd forgotten about toasting rye bread which my Danish mum would do and recently I'd been thinking about the traditional rye bread soup she used to make with leftover rye bread.
