My first reaction was cold fury - how fucking DARE that smug little shit Zephirin kill one of the best men in all of Coerthas, as well as one of the ONLY PEOPLE who doesnāt constantly ask me to do stuff and actively asks after my well being and cheers me on? Like, that LOOK on his face once heās done the deed - he doesnāt care terribly much that he didnāt hit the PC, he cares that he killed someone that the PC cares about and who supported the PC. He cares that he caused you distress.

But when I went to the manor to speak to the Count, and he tried to put on a brave facade but just crumpled and sobbed the moment he tried to turn away, thatās when theĀ ālie down on the floor and cryā feelings hit me. Like it took someone else crying for my heart to realize it was broken. </3
I was really glad that when I went to talk to Aymeric I got to choose how to respond when he asked me to go after murderpope - you betĀ I told him that I want to make Zephirin pay for what he did. Iolis is in all his incarnations a bit of a doormat people pleaser because it works with games that make you be cooperative no matter what - but even heās completely sickĀ of being the unselfish, uncomplaining hero.
I made myself extra sad today by reading the journal entry for that quest, and re-reading the description for the black chocobo. He raised it himself...Ā ;_;

Iām really annoyed that theyĀ ātoned him downā for the NA version - his text is so bland. I read a thing saying they chose to do that because his enthusiasm could beĀ āproblematicā to NA audiences, which is just... thereās a difference between toning a character down and tweaking his dialogue to make him come across correctly for an audience of a different culture and stripping out any possibility that a male character just might be seen as romantically interested in a male PC.Ā

I had a lot of issues using it. The interface while it looks nice lagged a lot (though they probably fixed this) and I just couldnāt do what I wanted with it and found it easier finding my way with Ren'py. If thereās a trial Iād definitely suggest checking that out before you drop the money though.
what specifically were you trying to do with it and what didn't work out, if you don't mind me asking? I don't know if they're offering trials though, $60 for software really isn't very expensive in terms of software pricing but still :/

wait can you like elaborate because as long as it's easier to use than coding it like Ren'Py, I'm probably gonna get it, but if it doesn't really allow for the range of customization that I can do on Ren'Py (despite it being difficult), I'd feel like I have wasted my money?

I mean, I like the whole earning-your-job-uniform-at-50 thing, but giving me a slightly less fancy version of everything but the robe and the fancy versions to go with the robe all at once just confuses me. (Maybe in the case of WHMs they lv 45 versions are a consolation prize after having to suffer through getting by all those Dullahans. >_>;)
