I thought the term for black haired person (besides brunet/te) was blake

Someone put that on a previous reblog of the post but did not follow it up with further information, and I haven’t been able to find any corroboration of this archaism’s existence other than under ‘hypothetical origins of the personal name Blake.’

Considering ‘from blac to refer to dark hair’ and ‘from blaak to refer to pale skin’ actually appeared right next to each other in one place I looked, I sort of threw my hands up on that one. 😅
