hey, sorry to butt in, but re: your su she post - in ep.11 around 20:40 Lan Qiren actually orders inner disciples to bring outer disciples into Cold Pond Cave (so I guess they can enter with someone from the clan like wei wuxian did). So Su She and others getting stuck outside is just an unfortunate situation bc they weren't fast enough (I think). So (at least this time) i would give lan sect a pass...;)

You’re absolutely right, Lan Qiren does give that order. And then when Su She brings the disciples that he can gather and says ‘Master, let’s get in quickly,’ Lan Qiren wants to stay and fight - which lasts just a minute or two, they lose very badly very quickly. Lan Wangji says to Lan Qiren ‘uncle, let’s go,’ and Lan Qiren says ‘everyone, keep up,’ and at that point it’s not exactly anyone’s fault (except the Wens’) that in the boodshed and chaos of the battlefield, not everyone can keep up, and quite a few of the outer disciples get left outside.
So, yeah, it’s an unfortunate situation! And Lan Qiren did make an attempt to bring all the disciples into the gave. (Which Su She personally definitely knows, because he gave that ‘bring the others’ order to Su She.) ... but, at the same time, no matter the intent, Su She and others still do end up locked outside the refuge, without a key. So his resentment isn’t quite as justified, the situation isn’t as clear-cut, as I’d thought! But it’s still definitely a very uh concrete and urgent example of the privileges of rank - and the dangers of being only a lower-class common cultivator.
