I am undoubtedly pro black... I don't dislike any other group of people, and it's not that I see black people as superior, but let's be clear that I DAMN sure don't see us as inferior. Too many years of suppressing and oppressing and poisoning us mentally, emotionally, physically. Years of being told our beauty isn't the standard, our men are "thugs" & "low lives" and our women are "ghetto & uneducated". We are a great people. Talented. Creative. Innovative. Strong. Resilient. Imagine how much greater we'll be when we ALL realize that.

BLACK ON BLACK EXCELLENCE

I haven't had the time to share my journey with you guys as Chief Editor of Houston's most substantial voice for fashion, entertainment, business, technology and more, The BAR Magazine. Just last week we celebrated our 1 year of existence and boy did we have a good time. The event was semi-formal (just as I love it), all black and was deemed "Black is In, Black Tie Affair".

The exclusive event was a smashing success and everything was lovely. Last Rebel Entertainment attended, Bougie Magazine, 713 Ent., Houston Trend, High Hopes Clothing, Carri Culture, Size Sexy Divas and more! Chef Dwight catered the event and the food was delicious! I loved the idea of the black on black swag bags. So necessary. See you guys next year. Until then, take a look into this years event!
