Two of my long time friends are Lamar O. Dixon @lamar.dixon9 and Jonathan Marshall @jonjmarshall215 . Both of these men are incredible fathers and they have figured out an effective method of spreading messages of hope and love. They have placed life messages within children's books. Two African American authors who were born and raised in West Philadelphia. Their lives are testimonies of survival and achievement coming from a neighborhood in which many young black men succumb to devastating woes. These guys are great men, excellent fathers and they have strong work ethic. Brothers with senses of humor combined with their willingness and ability to encourage everyone they encounter. Lamar O. Dixon has recently released his 2nd book to date. This project is a children's book entitled "It's Not How You Start, It's How You Finish". It's a book created by a father with the intention to inspire his young daughter to understand and overcome the difficult processes of life. It's a great story of endurance and dedication. And Jonathan Marshall just released his own children's book entitled "I'll Be Right There". The book was illustrated by Julia Orthey. It is a story dedicated from a father to a son letting him know he will do whatever he can to be there for his son. This story is for any parent, grandparent, guardian, or anyone in the life of a child reminding little ones they will be there to help them face life. Both books are inspired by fathers and their loving relationships with their own children. I believe in these dudes and I trust their hearts.
