Edsel Villager | In 1957, Ford set out to create a middle ground between their Ford and Lincoln brands called the Edsel. There were 18 versions of the Edsel at launch. Ford did years of research and polling of American consumers. It ended up being not only the biggest flop in Ford history but is known as one of the biggest failures in marketing history. So that must make this car fairly rare since not many of these cars were sold and were only manufactured for a couple of years. Apparently only 2848 of these station wagons were made before the Edsel division closed in 1960.
