Hey, all three of the Blackshields audio dramas are on sale at Audible. The only Horus Heresy stories I got to write, and I wish there'd been more of them, but hey-ho, so it goes. Anyway, I know there are a bunch of space marine likers on this site, so here you go. Three audios about the most psychopathic space warrior this side of Abslom Daak, Dalek-Killer. (And in the last one, he fights an entire ship full of the Sons of Horus while being bare-ass naked. I know some of y'all like that sort of thing, so...enjoy?)
The three flavors of a Blackshield army in 30K are:
"We have broken the shackles of the Imperium and Primarchs, so there is no limits of what we can use to achieve our goals."
"Even without support and supplies, we will fight, and we will survive against the horrors of the galaxy."
And
"I should kill myself now."
Blackshields Reaver Lord, formally a Luna Wolves legionary.

I've been struggling to get back into the hobby since moving house. Things have been busy and work can be mentally fatiguing. Plus I've been doing a lot of writing, mostly short stories to try and get back into writing before tackling larger stories.
But I've managed to finally get a little bit of hobbying done.
The idea behind this model is a twist on something from the recent Horus Heresy 3.0 Blackshields pdf. There is a way to take a force that is entirely Centurions and Centurions in Terminator Armour.
Now back in HH 1.0, Centurions could become various consuls with an upgrade, this would allow them to become Librarians, Champions etc. So I thought it would be cool to build a force of centurions and their consul upgrades, with a bit of a twist. In this case, he is an Esoterist.
The lore behind this force is that the main HQ choice is a Contemptor Dreadnought, the marine inside is a Terran veteran from early in the Great Crusade, Luna Wolves or War Hounds (I am still undecided), who was interred before the arrival of the Primarchs. Not meeting any of them, he viewed them with suspicion as they were treated like demi-gods; a harsh diversion from the Imperial Truth.
Over the course of the Great Crusade, both before and after internment, the marine befriended and/or gained the trust of marines from other legions, not all legions but a few nonetheless.
But fate had other ideas for the Dreadnought. The ship carrying his sarcophagus was crippled and lost in the decade before the Horus Heresy. However, it was shortly after the Dropsite Massacre that he was found by an old friend from the Iron Hands...
I won't reveal too much for now though.
This model, however, is a Terran veteran of the Space Wolves Legion. He left some time after viewing the hypocrisy at the Nikaea, his Primarch declaring that his own psykers were fine, but others were not, because they drew their power from Fenris. The veteran knew full well that his powers came from the warp, he accepted that, but his legion was lost in their lies. After Prospero, he escaped to wander on a journey using means unknown.
