It’s Not So Bad

You’re a spy, an assassin, not a fucking dress-up doll. Tony knew when he decided to throw this ball that a dress is one of the things that shouldn’t be on your body. You hate free-flowing things, things that aren’t constricted, and you hate dressing up. You’d rather be in your form-fitting fighting outfit and your hair up rather with makeup on, a dress, and your hair flowing down your shoulder blades.

Tony is known for throwing infamous balls so you kind of have to go with especially you being one of the Avengers. Pepper picked out your dress for the evening, but what she didn't realize is that this dress is fucking hard to put on. It’s mostly made up of lace, strings, and flowing fabric. You’re having a hard time determining which end goes over your head.

Natasha passes by your room and notices you’re having trouble putting the dress on. She chuckles and knocks on the door, startling you a bit.

“Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.”

“No, it’s okay,” you mutter.

Natasha really knows how to dress up in necessary times. The dress Pepper got her is sleek, black, and hugs her body perfectly. It’s as if her assassin outfit was turned into a dress. All the things hidden by her previous outfits are now on display, and you’re having a hard time keeping your eyes off you. She doesn’t know you have a major crush on you, so you have to force yourself to tear your eyes away from her.

“Need some help?” she asks.

Before you can say yes or no, she approaches you from behind. She steadies you by holding onto your waist, and a blush immediately forms on your neck.

“Don’t worry, it can be a bit tricky,” she chuckles lowly.

She slides the straps and strings over your shoulders, tugging the lace to fit over your body. The blush has moved up your neck and over your cheeks, but you don’t comment on it. Natasha sees the blush on your cheeks, and instead of ignoring it like some people, she wants to confront it.

“You’re blushing because you like me, right?”

“W-what?”

“It’s okay, I think it’s sexy… just like you in this dress,” she whispers. She pats your shoulders and steps back to admire you. “There, you’re all set.”

Natasha turns and leaves the room, but the only thing ringing in your ears are her words. You slowly smirk… maybe wearing a dress isn’t so bad.
