The problem in falling back into Glee now is that I am falling headlong into niche ships that apparently no one else has written about (or at least on AO3). And I'm so far out of glee fandom now.

Happy to take any recs about Glee discords, especially Karofsky friendly. I'm once and always a Klainer but gosh this rewatch opened up a world of possibilities and I need to talk to people about it.

Dave should’ve been the assistant football coach in s6 instead of Sam

• Kurt and Dave going from both being students at McKinley to both being teachers (more or less) and instead of their relationship being toxic it’s just really fucking awkward

• Bc Blaine is dating Dave and therefore around McKinley more often so there’s lots of awkward tension and delicious angst around Klaine/Klaineofsky 

• As Kurt and Blaine make it back to friendlier terms, it lets Kurt and Dave’s friendship grow as well

• At least one double date of Blaineofsky and Kalter that’s still awkward as hell but especially for Walter and Dave bc Klaine’s legendary chemistry can’t be tamed (parallel the Breadstix Mercedes third wheel incident but worse cause they’re both supposedly on dates with other people)

• Dave would get to be Sheldon’s friend and confidant and it would be a good parallel and growth moment of like. Dave needing Kurt’s guidance in s3 and then him being able to turn around and help Sheldon through his transition journey and guiding him on being part of the queer community 

And of course Klaine is still endgame so he still bows out gracefully but idk it hurts more bc they’ve all really become friends through all the awkwardness and they don’t want to hurt one another but. Some things are just meant to be or not be

And maybe we see him in the flashforward with another guy or something idk but he’s happy and they’re all friends. I know he never stood a chance but they could’ve made it feel a little more like he did? I’m glad they brought him back at all though to give his character some closure but still

Oh and Dave being the assistant coach means Sam isn’t there and so no weird awkward Samchel to force down our throats just to throw it in the garbage when you bring Jesse back for no reason so. Win win win all around
