Advice wise…
Quality over quantity. Don’t over-strain and potentially harm yourself trying to lift too much weight or lift a comfortable weight too many times or try and go for the longest run of your life.
Drink plenty of water, regardless of how much you need to go to the bathroom.
Have you nutrition game on lock! Know what foods your body needs and when it needs it and stay dedicated to your nutrition. For weight lifting and most cardio work outs - have a effective recovery drink and post work out meal. It can be whatever you choose just make sure it has what your body needs after a work out and you feel it’s benefits (there were months I didn’t know about or consume a recovery drink after I lifted. Now that didn’t negate everything I was doing with weights but it didn’t optimize my efforts).
Exercise as much discipline as you possess.
Stay consistent and focused, especially when you’re closest to your goal(s) because that’s when it’s easiest to backslide or start taking shorts, I know cause I’ve done it.
Get plenty of rest. If you’re weight lifting you at very minimum should be getting 8 hours of sleep the day you lift.
Listen to your body, if it’s telling you how tired or sore it is, there is no shame at all in taking a day off to recover so you can put forth a good effort the next day. Listen to your body.
Never stop researching things whether that be food or truth behind traditional theories or techniques and ways of doing things. Always look for new food you can introduce into your nutrition (as well as remove).
A few other notables. Coconut oil is a godsend. It helps with a variety of things such as improving your immune system, a natural energy booster and it regulates and seeds up your metabolism. Chocolate milk is as an effective recovery drink as any high end premium powder/supplement/shake being sold as fitness shops or health food stores, trust! I was rocking straight up 2.0% milk and Nesquik chocolate syrup for the longest time. 1) you don’t need those formulas and shakes to achieve fitness goals, that’s straight up 2) there’s so much extra junk and garbage that goes into your body along with the few vital things you need that their formulas and shakes contain.
