“Come on, there’s an open spot right next to me.”

Victor smiled softly, sliding onto the long metal bleacher seats and finding himself right next to Yuuri as instructed. They used to sit the respectable distance apart, but now they sat so close their knees touched. It made it all the easier for Victor to wrap his arms around his husband, kiss his temple. He kissed him again on top of his head, breathing in the smell of him and the feeling of his soft inky black hair. He kissed him one last time, smiling, on his flushed cheek, and this time Yuri giggled.

Yuuri had been sitting on the sideline, watching the younger skaters move around the ice. Everyone looked so young, so determined, so effortless. He knew he was getting older, he knew he was up against a lot. Victor must have seen him sitting there, worrying and sliding his glasses up the bridge of his nose, and come over. He always had this way of knowing what Yuuri needed.

Victor knew after that it was best to sit in silence for a while, just watching other skaters glide across the ice. It didn’t stop him from watching Yuuri, the little ways that his face would change every time a pair of skates landed perfectly.

“They’re beautiful Victor,” Yuuri murmured, not looking away. “You should be watching.”

Victor just leaned in, laying his head on Yuuri’s shoulder, and intertwined their fingers.

“Don’t worry, love. I’m not missing a thing.”

i would say this has happened but because I treat my tablet with such reverence it hasn’t (also just because it’s a cintiq and it is usually up on a stand which makes faceplanting hard)

I have, however, faceplanted into my laptop or beside my tablet and just fallen asleep there
