re: kagurabachi: Yura was straight up lying about like 90% of that stuff. The pretext of disagreeing with the Malediction was just for effective propagandizing/networking. To put it straightforwardly, he is a fascist himself: he ideologically approves of authoritarianism enforced by a single person wielding ultimate power. He wants somebody to be a "hero" that can prevent tragedies like the one that befell him, and he views the EBs as an acceptable way to achieve that.
His issue with Akemura was just that he thought the guy was unstable and couldn't be trusted to wield that power in a way that would maintain a stable society. Once he learned they were the same ideologically he went "oh tight lmfao" basically
oh yes that would very much be the next step to reading yura after his immediate submission of the magatsumi and wanting akemura at the helm after knowing that fact.
so it all boils down to yura not really caring about the lives lost on that island, is what im getting.
i think i need to reread it again, it's been awhile since i've read kagurabachi before catching up. knowing what i know now, i might get nuggets of foreshadowing that i must've missed previously hehehe
