So I log onto Ikerev to find out that it died??? 😭 I had sooo many crystals and gacha tokens too 🥲 There's still a banner for the past popular cards so I decided to use up my remaining tokens and see what I could get, have a look!!

blanc lapin (ikerev) & rate: the looks, can you relate to this character on a personal level?, and would you date/be friends with this character in real life if they were real?

Of course, my dear! Thank you so much for the easy, fun little ask and for the chance to talk about a fandom I don’t get to create for often! This was a lot of fun 😊

The looks

Okay, but I think we can all agree here – Blanc is a very beautiful man. He has super-pretty hair. It looks just so soft and I love the style he wears it in, the little slightly messy, face-framing thing. He’s got the prettiest eyes, out of all the Ikemen in this particular series, to me. His fashion sense isn’t quite my tastes, but I do like his colour scheme there. Just looks wise, Blanc is very, very pretty, though I will admit that while I can definitely appreciate this fact, he’s not attractive to me in particular. I can just appreciate beauty wherever I see it!!

Can I relate to Blanc on a personal level?

Not really, to be honest. There are definitely traits here and there where I relate some to Blanc. We both try our best to give both sides a fair shake, but Blanc is far more able to keep his personal feelings out of things and to remain completely neutral. I actually really admire that part of him, because it’s a really hard thing to do. We both tend to be in the middle of everything without being part of any particular group or playing a real strong role in a lot of what’s going on. We both love carrot cake and while I don’t lose my glasses, I have a bad tendency of breaking pairs far more often than I should, so both me and Blanc have the habit of having lots of spare pairs of glasses. I have the pair I’m currently wearing and two back-up pairs, for instance. Outside of that, me and Blanc are very, very different. He’s a wonderful, wonderful character, don’t get me wrong, and I still desperately wish we’d gotten a proper route for him so we could’ve learned more for him, but I never went full in on Blanc because a) he wasn’t attractive to me, b) I couldn’t find a lot in common with him, c) he’s not the type of partner I would want, so I admittedly haven’t thought about him a lot. I should change that, but he just didn’t get a lot of love from the game itself and my god, that is a huge shame because Blanc, out of all the Ikemen without routes, had the most potential or an absolutely mind-blowing story route, full of things that would’ve broken my heart and made me so happy in equal measures.

Would I date/be friends with Blanc in real life if he was real?

I’ve been pretty clear about it, but I wouldn’t date Blanc. He’s lovely, but simply not my type and I don’t think a relationship between us would work out well anyway. There’s just not enough chemistry or commonalities there. However, I do think I would love to be friends with Blanc. He’s a good friend, a genuinely good person, and I’d adore just having that solid, supportive friendship on both sides, from him and from me.
