The Mistrick obsession is coming back full force I fear
What if: no pocket dimension!Mistrick AU where John actually gets to rejoin society after his release, and is now a person of debatable normality, who has to now somehow get used to having no cash nor connections, and Chase becomes a ghost/spirit/entity who follows him around to either get him killed or get him implicated in some shit, kinda like intrusive thoughts given human-ish form (except he doesn’t represent a deep fear of the suggestions, just serves to highklight the many things wrong with both of them)
“They deserve each other” (they’re both such amazing people and partners that only the other may treat them as they deserve) vs “They deserve each other” (they have to be paired together for the protection of any other potential partner’s mental stability (and their mutual toxicity actually balances the relationship pretty well anyways))
