This is a song about all the things you've kept bottled up, and about the failed relationship surrounding those things. Written/Performed/Produced by me. Album art by me.
Hello I have dropped my first non-shark puppy track! It’s called Blank spaces and I guess it’s about finally saying what you’ve needed to say for a while.
I hope you enjoy!
Vaughn Hargrave from Blank Spaces is gay and asexual
Vaughn Hargraves from Blank Spaces is asexual!
My fellow aces, I feel it’s my duty to recommend you read Blank Spaces (and the Toronto Connections books) by Cass Lennox. For the first time in my life, I saw myself—my ace self—reflected as a main character in a book. The way the main character, Vaughn, explains his feelings about sex hit home. I’ve never in my 30 years read a romance book that I could truly connect with. It’s well written with oceans of chemistry between the characters. And it features an asexual gay man’s open relationship. I can’t even explain what this book means to me. Most importantly, this book gives me hope. It reassures me that I’m not broken. It gives me hope that maybe I won’t always be lonely, that I will find people who love and accept me the way I am.

Zelda Spellman is a nightmare dressed like a daydream.
blank spaces.
I look up on the white wall
And stare until colours fade in
When the morning whispers
I am crawling into your bed
In the movie after
There’s too many sex scenes
At the end of the night
I am still waiting
For the bright white spaces
To tell me about their day.
