MONDAY 21 AUGUST, 2017

David had a bad night. Lots of seizures resulting in a whole day mostly spent in bed recovering. He was very confused. Asked me where we were, where was our car (we sold ours 5 years ago), etc. He did remember my name which always reassures me. I know the drill by now so I answered all the questions trying not to sound irritated even if it is the 7th time. He says how grateful he is to me for taking care of him when he is so unwell. I told him that after what we’ve been through over the last two years, I am just grateful we can still be together and reassure each other. Time of crisis are good to find out people's true colours and who really gives a damn about you. We will keep on taking things one day at a time for now. RW
