Uncharismatic Fact of the Day
Ready for Mardi Gras? The Mardi Gras cockroach sure is! This species is named for its bright blue and yellow coloration, and is active during the day-- unusual for cockroaches. This bold behaviour may be due to its robust defense mechanism: when threatened, Mardi Gras cockroaches will spray a pungent odor that deters predators.
