Phoroncidia americana, the weird little lumpy theridiids who hunt with a single silk line composed of tiny sticky balls loaded with moth pheromones. I love them.
Also the boys are silly too:
A male northern black widow spider (Latrodectus variolus) in Big Bend National Park, TX, USA
by Alan Cressler
[VIDEO TAKEN: MAY 5TH, 2026 | Video ID: A video of a black, red/orange, brown, and white male southern black widow crawling around on a human hand, being passed from one hand to the other as it crawls /End ID.]
This is a male of the species Latrodectus mactans, the southern black widow spider! Obviously I wouldn't suggest you do this, I know what I'm doing with handling spiders and am also 100% certain of this one being a male, male black widows not only have less potent venom but are far less capable of biting humans, and wouldn't be able to injure me.
Paidiscura pallens adults are hard enough to photograph as it is but when their characteristic egg sacs are so easy to find and keep tabs on, it's hard not to come back to look at the even smaller babies. at least they don't cluster nearly as tightly as your average spiderlings and aren't hidden by webbing, but trying to photograph them will still result in you walking away embarrassingly mad at a bunch of children

Hello, yes, hello, this looks to be a Noble False Widow (Steatoda nobilis), family Theridiidae. They are originally from the Canary Islands and Madeira, and have been spread to much of Europe and parts of North America.
