phantom!wilbur doesn’t sleep because he’s afraid his friends will succumb to death like he had he doesn’t need sleep like his other mutant friends do (it’s more just a comfort) so he protects them and always keeps an eye out for them when they are at their most vulnerable
mermaid!niki had long since given up her dreams of going on land it’s too much trouble and she’s tried before only to land herself on the brink of death but when she meets phantom!wilbur who’s already dead and has nothing more to lose she’s invigorated again
enderman!ranboo is deathly afraid of going to the end because though they’re his family he doesn’t feel welcome he’s afraid they won’t accept him but he’s found a new home in his eclectic mishmash family of a ghost, mermaid, shulker, blaze, avian, and elytrian
phantom!wilbur likes popping out of walls to scare his friends and when he does it to enderman!ranboo, he gets so startled he teleports once he got stuck on a small island in the middle of the sea and mermaid!niki and elytrian!phil had to rescue him
blaze!jack tells mermaid!niki so many stories of the nether and what it’s like to make her feel better for never getting to experience it and when she starts crying about not being able to see it herself he asks about the water and the ocean to distract her
when elytrian!phil gets too exhausted and weak from being underground too long he often lays on the beach near mermaid!niki because they don’t want to leave him alone as he recovers
avian!tommy is jealous of elytrian!phil because despite having wings and hollow bones himself for flight he never can because he’s part human so he feels so useless phil holds him in his arms as he flies tommy can never articulate how grateful he is
enderman!ranboo is outcasted by fellow enderman because they quite literally look down on him and humans as he is partially one he’s also shorter than them so they ignore him but his other mutant friends always cheer him up by trying to jump up and touch his head avian!tommy cheats often and flaps his wings that can’t carry his full weight to lift himself higher by elytrian!phil chastises him and forces him back down
blaze!jack runs hot despite his human appearance and can’t hug his friends which makes him more sad than anything else he leaves a trail of embers and he feels he does more harm than good for his found family
avian!tommy squawks and chirps occasionally and he can’t control it his friends don’t make fun of it cause he gets embarrassed by it since that’s really the only way his bird half materialized besides his useless wings that can’t hold his weight similar to avian!tommy, enderman!ranboo vwoops, blaze!jack exhales loud and deep like his kin when extra tired and scares his friends accidentally, and mermaid!niki forgets her friends can’t hear her underwater but she can’t hold her breath in air too long so she remains silent
mermaid!niki often gets left behind while the found family goes on adventures but she passes the time by singing her siren song to herself as distraction shulker!tubbo likes to stay behind with her and weave her flower crowns from land flowers mermaid!niki doesnt sing around anyone else because it has such a bad effect on their human halves but shulker!tubbo? hes hard of hearing and just feels the vibrations of her deadly song and hums along
feline!quackity would purr when happy and enjoy milk when his human half despises it mermaid!niki would pet his head as he curls up on the warm sand to take naps during the day
phantom!wilbur (like ghostbur) makes sewers filled with water to everyones house and everywhere important so mermaid!niki can follow them around for the most part she pokes her head through the manholes & scares them accidentally when she’s bored in the lake alone & wants to talk
when the origins found family decide to go and tackle the ocean monument mermaid!niki gets distracted conversing with the guardians and even convinces the elder guardian to let them explore if they won’t take all the loot they find
