“A blighted corner, the once proud building’s windows boarded up and its handsome exterior in decay” reports River City News (RCN), the north end of the historic Boone Block, “is one of the most visible walls in all of Covington.” In September, 2016 a small crowd showed up at the 4th and Scott intersection to see the Covington, Kentucky mayor declare London Police Day and to admire the Amsterdam-based duo’s latest creation on this transformed property. First brought to Covington in 2010 by late BLDG Gallery owner Mike Amann, The London Police remembered him with this portrayal of him as pilot of some sort of space dog. In their typical whimsical fashion, as noted by RCN, they then shared a song “Kentucky Fried Dog,” about their beloved dog being sold to a chicken farm. @thelondonpolice @thebldg @thercnews
