I’ve always wondered if Renji and Rukia were already in a relationship in this scene.
Because Renji is worried that Kirinji has Rukia’s phone number (a man who saw her naked in the hot springs XD, so he can have some interest in her to want her number), and he asks Rukia about it with a suspicious face. He gives vibes of boyfriend here.
It’s not clear when they started dating (after their reconciliation) and there are hints, this is one of them, that they might already be a couple before the last arc started.
