#i slept fine last night #got good amount of sleep and everything #bleeeergh #i have work to do #and i want i write #but my brain is DEAD

It only takes a minor setback that suddenly feels completely unmanageable to remember again just how close to losing it I think most of us are at this point.

#I got a message about pee wee dram #and he's fine but he gotten taken to after care instead of his little super hero dance class #because the dance teacher has covid #and the thought that I didn't mentally prepare him for after care and he's never been is killing me #I'm about to break down over something that I'm sure he's navigating just fine #because I think his little best friend goes every day #but I will not rest until I can get him #bleeeergh #chill out I tell myself without any success #also in addition to his tap and ballet class he does super hero dance which involves wearing costumes and dancing like a super hero #I dunno but it's cute

Gaaahhhh I reblogged that silly meme and now I'm thinking about Soul Reaver again. Good fricking gods. It was 1999 and I was hearing lines like "You are lost in a maze of moral relativism, Kain!" from a jawless blue vampire in a goddamned video game. I've yet to find a game with better voice acting. Kain & Raziel snarling Shakespearean-light lines at each other... there is & has been no equal.

Anyway, here's the opening cinematic for Soul Reaver because in various hidden half-remembered ways, this game shaped what I want from stories. Also, I'm drunk and don't know what I should write next in my fic.
