Re-rendering #DoodelyMeetsBaymax in EEVEE! XD
Official Post from Lunatics! Project: I know that, sometime soon, we're going to have to switch to Blender 2.8, and therefore go from the Blender Internal renderer to Eevee. But I'm concerned about, first of all, breaking a lot of the work we've already done, and secondly, making a disruptive change to the visual "look" of our project.
Blender 2.8 is coming, but we built everything for Blender Internal which has been removed from the new release. What to do! Probably we’ll have to migrate to Eevee, though not just yet.

Documenting a problem I solved awhile ago. Turned out to be triggered by a fairly mundane rigging error. But it was weird in that it only showed up when rendered with the Blender Internal renderer -- which we are using, even though it has become somewhat unfashionable.

Ich war ja kurz leicht schockiert, als ich gehört habe, dass der Blender Internal Renderer nicht mehr in Blender 2.8 enthalten sein wird. Die meisten Animationen (wenn ich denn noch mal die Zeit dafür finden konnte) habe ich aus Performance-Gründen immer noch in Blender Internal gemacht. Cycles sieht zwar schick aus, kann man aber ohne halbwegs aktuelle Grafikkarte nicht wirklich produktiv nutzen. Aber statt Blender Internal gibt es jetzt Eevee (eigentlich schon seit einer geraumen Zeit, aber bis jetzt war das für mich nicht wirklich relevant, da nur in der experimentellen Version enthalten) und das scheint ein wirklich guter Ersatz für BI zu sein...
