1. I love working with documentary material and I’m really good at interpreting them. Therefore I’m a historian.

2. Politics is my forte. 

3. I have a really good orientation/inner compass. Like, I never get lost in a city. Even if I was there just once ten years ago, I always find what I’m looking for.

4. I have nice eyes.

5. If my friends need me, I’ll be there. Need a place to crash? No problem. Theatre/Opera? Call me. In need of a good book? There’s my bookshelf. Want to watch a film? Hell yes. Just someone to talk to? Let’s grab a coffee. Want to party hard? Let’s dance to Joy Division.

Here it goes...

1. I have a big heart. Physically and the other thing too.

2. Usually I am honest. I say what I think, but I also think about how to say what I think. Sometimes the things we say hurt. But not being honest can hurt aswell.

3. I try to stay true to myself and be who I am. That isn’t easy sometimes, but I try my best.

4. My lips are just... wow! :D

5. My family and friends rock. That’s because I rock! :D

45. Paperback or Hardback? Hardback. Always. Though Paperback is cheaper and better to transport. The paperback books also get better quality at the moment here in Germany. At least that’s what I think.

Bookish Questions for you: 15, 16, 23, 37, 60

15. Favorite genre? Woah… children’s books, fantasy, calssic novels. Those are my favs.

16. Least favorite genre? Science Fiction, Thriller, Crime, Erotic. Not my pair of shoes.

37. Any other readers in your family? YES!!! My dad is an avid reader. He is still reading faster than me and he is 76. He likes history a lot. Especially about the world wars as he was a child back then and had to go through a lot. His racks are FULL with books!!! But books I don’t read or like ;)

60. Do you consider yourself a fast reader? No. I would say I am in the lower middle. A friend of mine is working in the library. She is very fast! Also other friends are very, very fast. Another friend of mine is slower than me. I once read a magazine with her on the train. I am very slow when the book has a lot of speech as I need to really hear them in my head. Then I read it as a play on stage. So… the more speech, the slower I read.

17. How many bookshelf/bookshelves do you own? I have 3 big shelves. One is for my prefessional books (for my job) and has doors, the other two haven’t. They are in the living room. There’s also a cabinet with a dish rack where I keep some books (some that are so artsy or old that I keep them there together with other things that I hold dear. It’s like a small gallery). In the bed room I have a piling-board-sheöf where I have unread books. My chest of drawers is also filled with unread books. You can find photos of them on my tumblr.

18. How many books do you own? I have no clue! A friend asked me the same question… I never counted them. But on goodreads it says I own 190. But I think I have more. The professional books are not included!

19. Biggest book haul? Wow, that must have been online… I buy most of my books second hand. I think I once ordered 13. Lucky me that they were all available.

20. How many books do you get/buy in a year? More than I read a year! :D 40? 50?

21. Goodreads challenge/reading goal for this year? 40 books. But I read slow (there are some that read slower). 

22. Favorite series? Tintenwelt by Cornelia Funke (Inkworld), LOTR, Harry Potter, The Children Of the Lamp, Rico & Oskar (by Andreas Steinhöfel), Emil and the detectives (by Ericj Kästner). I hate favourites!!!

23. Least favorite series? Perry Rhodan… my dad used to read them. I am not a fan of science-fiction. I avoid it. Oh, and I didn’t like The Hunger Games. First book was enough.

Bookish Questions: 45, 18, 2 & 3

2- Your first favorite book? You know…I don’t actually remember what my first favorite book is. I can tell you that my favorite book in general for a good 15/16 years now has been by Martha Wells - Death of the Necromancer. But that was not my “first”. My first favorite was probably a Goosebumps book. I owned a ton of those.

3- Your current favorite book? The Martian by Andy Weir - It was wonderful and I snuggled it for two days.

18- How many books do you own? The sad part is I would probably own a lot more than I currently have were it not for a house fire when I was 16. I lost all my books. After I lost them, I couldn’t remember every title I owned. So, sadly, I probably only own something like 100-something instead of more like 300+. … This is going to turn into a PSA:

I cannot stress this enough to anyone on Booklr. KEEP TRACK OF EVERYTHING YOU OWN. All your books - not just titles, but the year you bought them [that’s important for pricing purposes]. All your clothes, how many lamps you have, what kind of desk you own, jewelry etc.etc. Then price everything and how much it cost when you bought it. It sounds ridiculous, but it really isn’t. Own a small fire-proof safe and stick your “what I own” list in it.

45- Paperback or Hardback? Both. I have no preference in terms of which is “better”. I find them both equally good for different reasons. Paperbacks are lighter and easier to carry around. Hardbacks are sturdier and hold up well to re-reads.
