Honestly the best part of always having pain in the morning (there's literally only one upside, but it's the best shit ever) is that when I wake up and make tiny noises because of the pain, MY CAT HEARS IT AND COMES TO CHECK UP ON ME AND LIES NEXT TO ME and it's literally the most helpful thing ever

Here I am flat on my back 4:30AM wide awake, about to cry because I just had an intruding memory of how Jezebel, my mom's cat who passed away in 2012, used to meow, like CRYSTAL CLEAR memory. Then Mystra, the cat that my roommates recently adopted, just hops up on my futon, starts rubbing on me, and meowing these short, crackly meows, and they're so funny I chuckle. Life is weird and cats are great. Bless cats.
