We’ve been like hyping up now for Daredevil Season 3…I keep reminding them, I’m like, I know you weren’t there but I did a whole season with Frank Castle, we need to remember that this is someone she knows is alive, that I’m involved with, and like, we need to keep that alive, even in the other series.

All these comic books were begun in a different era, when women in stories served different functions. So for sure, we want Karen and Amber’s character and everyone, you know, to be really modern and true to who we are today. And I think so much of that has to do about taking women down off a pedestal, that you can’t just have the madonna or the whore, you have to have a complex person who is capable of both great good and great evil.
