——FIN.

To reflect the first ever post in my tenure—

I am now the bearer of bittersweet news. Bless The Teens has come to its end, its proper one. 

It has been a privilege to run this group for more than 1.5 years. It is not my effort that has catapulted this roleplay to long-term success, and not only the folks included on the kudos page but most of all, the commitment and energy of the various members who have graced this group. 

Running this group has been most unexpected. What started out as a fun short-term project, turned into an honest to goodness memory and key part of my roleplaying experience. 

Although my heart will always be with the memories of this group, real life has not only stripped me of my time, but my energy from this project. I do not plan to continue Bless, but my openness to another doing so is up for discussion. (In brutal honesty, this concept is generic)

Hey guys! 

After some thought and a lack of contact, I’ve decided to start thinking about Bless The Teens’ fate. Activity has been a little slow recently — due to lack of time and/or interest (I have no idea) — so I do have an ultimatum of sorts at hand. 

I haven’t heard or seen much from members recently, but I don’t want to reach conclusions. Please message the main or even like this post if you’re interested in Bless The Teens continuing! If interest is viable, one can look forward to a reboot around late November (in time for almost two years!). Otherwise, bidding farewell to this group is just as sweet.  

A rough deadline is around September 25th. I don’t want to pressure anyone into ‘the future of Bless’ but, genuine interest is valued over everything else.

Hello! 

If you’ve logged into your character account recently, you may have noticed a message from darrenhaas or vidconjunkie. This is a special kind of checkup that poses a question. Do you have the muse or interest? 

We strongly suggest replying to these messages. Feedback is encouraged but a simple “No I will not be returning” will suffice if that’s your case. 

These are being sent as quite frankly, we’d like to get this show on the road so numbers need to be consolidated. Thank you for your patience with the admin team!

SENIOR GRADUATION

The ceremony takes place this Friday morning, the 19th.

If you wish, you may write a little something about the ceremony or create anything like a playlist, moodboard, graphic, etc. 

It’s completely optional but if you want to note what went down, how they felt throughout it, you are most welcome to. Save most high school sentimentality for the final task in August when we have our mass exodus of graduates!

IMPORTANT UPDATE

In order to maximize the gossip experience, we’re going to request that once a week (or more if you feel the need), everyone MUST post a gossip update for your character under a read more tagged #blessthegossip. These gossip updates must conform to these rules:

Speaks predominantly of events taking place with your character during the week. May involve other characters; however, focus on your character and the results and ramifications of their actions. 

Must be three-six sentences long. 

Has to be tagged under #blessthegossip.

Posted at least once a week. 

These gossip updates will work as the main source of information for the gossip blog’s articles; however, feel free to continue sending in messages about occurrences that take place. Anything from drunken hookups to fights to rehab stints to drug deals can be mentioned. These updates can stem from interactions your character had over the week or personal headcanons.

Here are some examples:

Sophie went to Amber’s party on Friday, even though she didn’t want to. Sophie doesn’t always feel like she fits in at Drifter parties, mostly because she believes they’re too high in social ranking to want to hang out with her. At Amber’s party, she kissed her ex-boyfriend, Connor. She thinks Connor has feelings for her again, but she doesn’t know. She’s afraid to admit that she still has feelings for him too. 

Living in the Lower Class Neighborhood and going to Westwood has always been a struggle for Connor. Amber, a girl he hooked up with a few parties back, offered him a job at her parent’s art gallery. Amber offered Connor the job because she felt bad for him and she knows it would make her look very good socially. 

On Tuesday, Cata was caught cheating on her test from answers she received from Luke. Everyone knows that she has been sleeping with the TA because she’s not smart enough to pass an AP class on her own. Yet again, another case that adds to the stereotype that Jocks are in fact idiots.

a few notes on admin l’s hiatus

If you like details as much as I do, this post might alleviate any fears of Bless malfunctioning while half the admin team is gone. I’ll be taking a combination of full and semi-hiatuses, irregularity that assures that I can be here but not detached completely. This isn’t a mandatory read but more of a “fyi”.

I’ve got exams for the next two months so being active is quite difficult with no distractions preferable. 

Until May 8th, I’ll be on full hiatus. 

From May 9th to 15th, I’ll be around. 

From May 15th to 22nd, on hiatus again. 

I’ll be back fully for another week (last of May) and most of June. I still have exams until mid-June but there’s less so I could afford to be around. 

My availability is totally subject to change but what’ll be affected most is character graphics and tasks! Apologies for both. I don’t quite have the mental energy nor space to devote myself to those things, but hopefully it can get started up once summer comes, when I could possibly pick up a character too. 

Bless will still remain in good hands with Tasha around but unfortunately, I will be more distant than usual. If you’d like a direct line, I’ll still be checking Jonny’s account often for check up replies and let me know if you’d like any other contact. See y’all around! x

For the convenience of the anon who asked earlier and everyone else I’ve just gone through and tagged all the bios we currently have published with clique tags. You can see each tag by clicking the clique title of your choice on this page here. I hope that makes it a bit easier!

In other updates and so on -

Admin L is going on hiatus for a while, I’ll leave her to give you any details she wants in her own post. The only thing this will affect is character biographies because I’m still trying to find a way to get them right since my photoshop started coming up with errors. I’ve got nothing important coming up so I’ll still be able to run things -- if anything, I’ll have more time.

With the very obvious lapse in activity due to exams and other personal reasons, we are being a bit more relaxed in terms of activity check. But we still want you guys to try your hardest to get on when you can. If you need to take a hiatus, message us with the details and the date you plan to be back and we’ll work with that.

There’s been a couple of issues still popping up with starter stacking and dropped threads. Starter stacking won’t be tolerated anymore, it’s becoming a little bit silly that we see it every time we go into the tag. As for dropping threads, we understand it’s hard to keep something going if you don’t have muse for it, but do try to write threads to completion. Character development is what we like to see here and it’s hard to do that when people stop replying after two responses.

I just want to put a quick reminder in here that having parties or little events are encouraged. Any big events such as trips and big school events should be run past admins first, but if you want your character to throw a birthday party or maybe get people involved in sporting events like football games and etc, go right ahead. If you’ve made it this far, send us a message telling us if you would enjoy a collaborative inspiration/shipping blog or not. We still ask that any group (3 or more character) chatzys or neatchats be run past an admin.

IN CHARACTER

Check out our first post here so you’re up to date. 

This is it, the headliners have been released and everyone who’s got their ticket is getting ready for the Heffes music event of the year. Gates open at 11am tomorrow so make sure you’ve packed your sunblock, tons of water and whatever else you may need to ensure a safe festival. The first night of the festival kicks off with an open mic night for local acts to show their stuff to all the festival go-ers; the second night ends with a huge set from the Polar Apes; and closing the festival this year is Unfocus. We can’t wait to see you all there!

OUT OF CHARACTER

Think Coachella but without the cultural appropriation, only three day and less Paris Hilton DJing. For the most part, what your character decides to be involved in is up to you - If you want them to camp there for the weekend? They can. Want them to work for a certain booth or part of the festival? Go ahead. Largely there is so many things we could list as options for your character to do but we don’t want to limit it. Keep in mind that it’s an all ages festival that will have security and bag checks, which could make for a good “getting in trouble” plot. The options are endless. 

As far as time goes, this will span in real time unless we need to add another day or two at the end (message us if you would like it to be extended so we can get an idea). There will be a quick post to kick off the event and from the on we’d prefer it if any interactions that are happening at the festival were tagged with #blessFlingFest or an event tag of your own. In the mood for making some edits and playlists? (We know how talented you are) Then go ahead. Any larger plots this weekend still need to be run past admins.
