Our Farewell (Part II)
Our Farewell (Part I)
Commander: Then the seeker experiences a flash of shame, having thought he was either too busy to respond(something he doubted with Orion's ability to multitask) or he was purposefully withholding any response. <<I'm sorry. I didn't know.>> He admits slowly, feeling guilt for thinking of his mate holding a grudge large enough to cease contact, but also relief. << They appeared to go through, but its been drawn to my attention ---- --- comm lines aren't functioning correct. Zenith can't ------- --- either. >> Orion: Orion's optic shutters fluttered. The connection seemed to be getting worse, and none of Orion's sensors were picking up the cause. Rising from his console he made his way outside, hoping the fresh air would carry the signal better than those indoor. <<Commander...what is wrong with Zenith?>> Commander: <<Zenith's fine. He can't get through to his friends; all he gets is static, and now I'm experiencing the same ----. >> The signal sputters there, crinkling and dipping before connecting once more. <<-ear me? Orion?>> Orion: A quiet panic began to thrum up in Orion's spark. Looking up into the skies he strained to understand and to connect to the two sparks he held most dear. <<I'm trying...I---ng. Commander, please, come ho---. I worr--->>
Commander: Amber optics begin to darken with anxiety from the unstable connection they shared, for what it and the other evidence may be hinting at. He attempts to steel himself, restrain his fear and the pit in his spark so he could speak clearly to his mate. << I'll try, but listen to me Orion, this may be ----nnection to--damaged or fade---...may not, but it's a pos---bility.>>
*Sighs.* Everyone is fighting tonight. *Will seek out the Commander. Wants a cuddle.*

When Jackjaw was pulled from her recharge and laid optics on Starscream, she wondered if she may have been dreaming. She hadn't seen her keeper in quite some time. "Starscream?" She inquired groggily.
*Drapes a blanket over Orion's shoulders and joins him with a datapad. If you're working through the night, he'll keep you company.*
(Late)The comforting brush of soft cloth and Starscream’s EM fields against his frame visibly relaxed the librarian as he sat working on updating his console’s security systems. There were still several clean-up programs he had to initiate before he turned in for the night, but the gesture rendered him completely incapable of concentrating on his work afterwards. Nevermind the systems. Nevermind the encoding, he thought. They could finalize by themselves.Plucking up his own datapad, Orion steals up beside the relaxing seeker and drapes one half of the blanket over the larger mech’s shoulders. (Or at least tries to. Wings made such sharing difficult.) There, cuddled up against the Commander’s warm side, Orion turns on his datapad, reads, and lets his mind and body slip into a comfortable state of peace and happiness.
