A Spinner's Truth

Summary:

A spell is sweeping over the forest and killing the fairies who fly there. Kurt refuses to stand back and watch his people die, so he sets off to see the fabled Spinner, in the hopes that together they can save the forest.

------------------------------ The Spinner, Kurt decided, was an asshole.

There was no need for him to live so far from the forest. At the very least, he could have had the courtesy to lay a trail to his home. A few lights, perhaps, or a nice big arrow that could point Kurt in the right direction. Instead, Kurt had been traipsing back and forth through the grass from sunrise until high noon, methodically parting the grass and looking for any holes in the ground, or upturned baskets, or anything really that might hint that a fairy lived nearby. Pavarotti had flown with him at first, but he kept getting tangled in the grass, so Kurt sent him to circle above and keep an eye out for danger.

Hi! I saw a blind!blaine fic yesterday and I only read the summary then I lost it, I wonder if you can help me. It was something like they accidentally bumped into each other, then Blaine said he was blind and thought the conversation will become awkward as always but Kurt said something like "Shit. It's my first day, and the blind kid has already fallen because of me." And with that made Blaine laugh. Or something very similar. Maybe it was abandoned and that's why I let it go but I'm not sure.

Kurt hummed. “You must, too. You’re the one telling her where to go.”

“It’s a team effort.”

“Ah. Is she a service–“

“Yes, she is.” Blaine tightened his jaw. “I have an eye disease – Retinitis Pigmentosa. I’m blind.”

He expected the conversation to fade off into painfully awkward silence at that point. It usually did. Quiet pity was the most common reaction he received. The second most common reaction was a stuffy, you don’t look blind. You don’t have grey eyes. Where are your sunglasses? Aren’t you supposed to have a helper?

Instead–

“Damn it. My first day and I’m already shoving blind kids down the stairs. That won’t look good on my permanent record, will it?”

Blaine choked on a startled laugh.

“Kurt?”

“Hm?”

“This feels like the start of a very witty friendship.”
