Decidedly, the simplest tactic in order to be found (or rather, find someone else) was to extend your hand in any given direction, and just request an indication of where whoever had approached him might be. He did just that. Lifted his hand ever so slightly, cocked his head to listen for breath or something of the sort, all the while muttering under his breath about the temporary blindness. Those were quickly replaced with a greeting.

"'Lo. 'M Everett. Mind giving me a quick indicator of where you're at, stranger?"

By this point, he was curled uselessly into himself, hands raised to cover the back of his neck as he typically did when he slept. Just in case anybody chose to... you know. Kill him. The enthusiastic voice was familiar, but it made him jump, and were he in possession of the sense he needed so desperately, he would have drawn his gun. "Who're you? S-stay away." he called back, voice choked with unshed tears which he cursed to the very pits of hell. Fuck. Damn emotions.
