Blind!WWX getting sensory overload after being summoned into MXY’s body. He hasn’t seen this many colors in decades, and has trouble orienting himself. He had to use other ways to sense before, he recognizes A-Yuan’s spiritual presence and breaks down upon seeing him for the first time. And when he hears that guqin strum, he’s so shocked by the person’s beauty he forgets to scan their cultivation. Learning it’s LWJ after he’s caught in Mo manor is finally too much and he falls down with a fever.

Ohhhh I love this take! Wei Wuxian’s senses are all out of wack now because his old body had sharpened them after loosing his sight. In Mo Xuanyu’s body everything seems so dull.

Summary: "Lan Zhan, do you want to know what I think you look like?" Wei Wuxian asked as he felt Lan Wangji's warmth settle beside him.

"Mn." Lan Wangji replied, his eyes never leaving the gentle smile painted on Wei Wuxian's lips.

"Ah, let me correct that first. I don't see you," Wei Wuxian paused, turning to face the source of Lan Wangji's voice. "I feel you. And what I feel is that you might just be the most beautiful person I have ever laid my heart on."

In which Wei Wuxian's heart sees what his eyes cannot.

BlindWWX4 AU! Protective Yungmeng siblings even though they know WWX can handle himself in a fight, they still worry. They go to Cloud Recesses and WWX still causes trouble. Some people (JZX) make some comments about his blindness. Though they stop after WWX proves how good he is at fighting. WWX fights with LWJ who doesn't realize he's blind at first before he hears it from everyone else. Then the bathing scene involves WWX touching LWJ and commenting about his muscles making LWJ blush

OKAY NOW WE CAN HAVE AN EXCUSE FOR WWX TO TOUCH LWJ’S CHEST OR *COUGH* YKNOW SOMEWHERE ELSE HAHAHAHAHA although tbf JZX doesn’t seem like the type to snide others bc they’re blind like he’d snide them if they’re weak though haha

Part 1: What if whenever WWX used demonic cultivation and his eyes turned red (like in the donghua) it was because the demonic cultivation was damaging his eyes causing him to slowly lose his sight. By the time WWX dies he’s almost blind but no one apart from the Wens know (like with his lack of a core). His eyesight is of course restored when he enters MXY’s body however it doesn’t take long for him to start damaging his new eyes with demonic cultivation.

Part 2: And because MXY’s body is less robust than WWX’s original body his eyesight degrades faster. LWJ and the others find out about WWX’s eyesight after the events of the novel (perhaps because LSZ remembers WXX and the other Wens talking about it when he was a child). To preserve what remains of WWX’s eyesight he is told not to use demonic cultivation anymore. Everyone stops WWX when he tries to use demonic cultivation.

Part 3: LWJ is especially determined not to let WWX further harm his eyesight. WWX understands that everyone is worried and can’t blame them for not wanting him to use demonic cultivation. But without his demonic cultivation he feels so useless.

I've been thinking about blind!wwx a lot lately! How do you think the current wwx would recognize lwj w/o having seen his feature before? Do you think wwx will stare at lwj a lot cuz you know, he's never seen lwj face before & now he gets too! I wonder if lwj gets jealous so often cuz wwx would stare at everyone & anything while lwj just wants wwx to look only at him! This is NOT a fic!request btw. Oh, he def would have forgotten what having sight felt like. He’d be touching everything and looking at them as well with wild excitement when he gets reincarnated. I'm so sorry. I'm introducing a 4th blind WWX AU. It starts when they are younger. WWX has just been brought to the house, it's tense and JC and Madam Yu don't make it any better. But one day, JC almost gets seriously hurt and WWX takes the hit for him. But now he's blind. JC feels responsible and Madam Yu starts to let up on WWX. The rest of the story plays out only with protective Yunmeng siblings, a Tophlike WWX and when he's put in MXY's body, he can see again. Then he meets LWJ again...

ngl i first read that as “top like” and i just went “how???” until my dumbass brain caught up hahaha OH GOD TOPH IS MY FAV AND WOULD FIT THIS CHAOTIC BI BLESSSS

AU where Wei Wuxian went blind because he was protecting Jiang Cheng from something (Maybe a corpse). Wei Wuxian's still amazing at combat (like a Toph) and Jiang Cheng has some guilt issues because he was the one that caused Wei Wuxian to go blind. Yu Ziyuan is a bit nicer to Wei Wuxian. Fast forward to after Wei Wuxian dies and is in Mo Xuanyu's body. Wei Wuxian's been blind for so long that it takes him awhile to actually adjust to seeing again.

omg toph was my favorite character!!! wwx gets to be as sassy and funny as her haha and i can see wwx touching everything he can and looking with wondering eyes bc he barely remembers what the world looked like
