🧸 - On a scale of 1 - 10, how ‘soft’ is your OC? 1 being the edgiest of edges and 10 being a literal teddy bear that cries at everything? (Bonus questions, where on the scale would your OC place themselves, and where would they like to be on the scale?) - For Ithadel?
My assessment:
Probably a 4-6 depending on the topic?
On the one hand Ithadel cares so, so much. He takes joy in seeing other folk grow and succeed. He thinks the world can be a better place and genuinely believes that people could make it happen if they put their minds to it; does his best to be a part of that. He loves hugs and soft moments and the small beautiful things in the world, and he mourns when those things are lost.
On the other hand, Ithadel is... incredibly reserved. He doesn’t cry much; he has a very concrete opinion of what responses are useful from him vs. what responses ‘don’t help anyone,’ and does his absolute best to match that internal expectation of himself.
He’s also just... seen a lot of death and pain. He still always, always tries to prevent it, but his response when it does happen tends to be kind of muted and resigned. Death is an ending, to joy or suffering alike, and he treats it as such. He says farewell and moves on to the next thing.
.
Answer to the ‘bonus’ questions below the cut! Tl;dr of those: Ithadel is a mess.
