“Not A ‘Blind’ Pig,” The Ontarian (Belleville). July 10, 1919. Page 05. --- A few days ago Mr. H. B. Lawson of the township of Hope, sold several young pigs, five weeks old, to one of his neighbors. The pigs were placed in a bag and taken away at dark at a distance of a mile and a half. Next morning one of the pigs was missing and the buyer at once went to Mr. Lawson to report his loss. To the surprise of both Mr. Lawson and the buyer, the missing pig was found resting comfortably in its own stall. This is a very remarkable incident, a pig to be removed in a bag after dark and then manage to find its way back home a distance of nearly two miles. Our corner friend says it is quite evident that there are no blind pigs on Harry Lawson’s farm.
