One of our projects at Blowup Angkor '13 Indu Anthony and her project Manifest chronicles the lives of 13 queer women and their shifting identities - who expressed their and her desire to get into their fictional Man pants. BLOWup Angkor is an outdoor photographic intervention which runs along side the 9th Angkor Photo Festival which brings exhibitions and projections to the street of Siem Reap Cambodia. Spread over the city the exhibitions explores the intersection between the street and photography. Here the rules of interaction are very different.
The idea of photographs tuned for a powerful, responsible, democratic display, that is open to everybody on the streets.
This one will be like no other, and we hope for no shortage of things to do and see— we’re talking 35 exhibitions and street installations, 10 talks and projections, and 1 nighttime show and tell .
Now in its fourth year and BLOWup Angkor is brought to you by Blindboys.org and The Angkor Photo Festival.
BLOWUp Angkor opens its gates on Saturday, November 23 and runs through to November 30 in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Our projections & exhibitions are selected from a call for submissions; we want to ask you our community of photographers across the globe to share their work with the people of Cambodia.
We are looking for collaborators : if you're a photo-collective or run an interesting photo related project drop us a line at [email protected]. We would love to work with you to find a way to include you into our projection.
Guidelines
The print exhibition requires you to send in your work of no more then 25 images[] [2500 px (72 dpi)]. The images must be accompanied with a short writeup on the project along with an up to date bio. We print the images in three sizes, Paper sizes A5, A4, A3 (info on sizes), please include an exhibition display in your submission using one or combination of these sizes. Please zip the files to help our workflow ( filename :'name_projectname' )
The projections should be between 5-10 minute long in duration, including project write up and bio. The file needs to be in .mp4, .avi, or .mov format in 720p (1280x720px). Please zip the files to help our workflow

Created in 2005, the Angkor Photo Festival is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. Held every year in the bustling town of Siem Reap, Cambodia, the weeklong festival features exhibitions, slideshows, and other activities. All events are free-of-charge and open to the public, and no prior registration is required to attend.
