20.
Dear Amy,
We met in a first year biology lab that soon became the bane of both our existences. I HATED THAT LAB. I still HATE that lab. You proceeded to have to change labs and that could’ve been the end of our friendship but NO, we were fate.
I can’t remember where we met next but we had a conversation regarding the computer science classes we were taking. You were in CSc100 or something stupid and I was trying to convince you to switch into CSc110 with me.
The next time we met was outside of Bob Wright, back in the days when my leather jacket was pleather and your hipster Herschel backpack was the cornerstone of your aesthetic. You had switched into CSc110 but as luck would have it you were in the other section. We stood in line at SciCafe and you bought a PureLeaf ice tea to match the basic ass vibe of your backpack, and then we sat down and wrote a java program that printed a picture of a cow. We thought we were God's gifts, pure geniuses.
I'm not sure when, how, or where we saw each other next but somehow you became one of my best friends and I didn't really know you at all, I didn't have to know you, we just got on perfectly.
It wasn't until January 2016 when I REEEAAALLY got to know you. Every time I would learn something new about you, like the fact that you lived alone for grade 12, I would think about how crazy it was that we hadn't talked about it before. But in hindsight it makes sense, with you there's always so much more than just the past to talk about. The next few weeks were funny, as we filled each other in on parts of our lives it seemed the other would already know. I knew who you were already, but it was amazing to hear about what shaped you into that person.
Amy, you are one BAD ASS woman. Somewhere between your functioning alcoholism and your ability to always speak your mind (even when it's to tell your boss her website looks like crap) I fell in love with you.
I love you more than I love Drake, I love you more than Drake loves hoes, I love you more than hoes love bougie white boys, I love you more than bougie white boys (namely Alex) love cars.
Here's to the many late nights your twenties will bring, most of which will not be spent at the club, but rather cramming for some god forsaken maths midterm. -"Amal"
tl;dr
How did we even become friends? idek...but all I know now is that I love you, and if I could, I would have all your babies (...in like ten years tho, I ain't ready fo no motherhood yet)
P.S. Can I give you this plate?
P.P.S. Also, can we just take a moment for how great your mom is (despite the fact that I've never met her).

Yes I count
I thought that...<3
