Movie Night

Ethan was having what felt like the longest week of his life when, in actuality, it was only Wednesday. Y/N, always being in tune with her boyfriend, could feel the stress radiating off of him.

She decided she was going to plan a date for the both of them. Y/N knew Ethan worked hard. She wanted to do something special for him because he was always doing amazing things for her.

Early into their relationship, Y/N learned that Ethan preferred date nights in, rather than out. When Ethan, Grayson, and Mando left the house to go do some filming, Y/N decided to set up a cute movie date in their backyard.

The first thing she needed to do was go get snacks. You can’t have a movie night without snacks. She went to the grocery and grabbed popcorn, candy, and diet root beer.

When she got back home, she found a cute picnic blanket and went to lay it out. Then she got practically every pillow that was in the house and placed them strategically.

While she was searching for the picnic blanket, she had discovered this cute little basket and immediately decided that she would put the snacks in there.

For whatever reason, the twins owned a projector, which Y/N used to her advantage. Setting it up so it was showing on the side of their house. The sun was setting, which meant Ethan would be home soon, so she pulled up Disney Plus on her laptop. She decided on their go-to comfort movie, Monsters, Inc.

The only thing missing was Ethan. She sat on the couch waiting for him to come home and the minute the door swung open, she was walking toward him, grabbing his hand.

“Why are you so excited?” Ethan asked, laughing because you were his absolute favorite thing on Earth.

“Close your eyes, I have a surprise for you.” Was the only thing she said.

He heard the sound of their back door open and knew she was taking him outside. “Why are we outside? Can i open my eyes?”

“No, you can’t. Be patient” She said walking him over to her cute little set up.

“Ok, so I know how stressed you’ve been lately, so i just like wanted to do something nice for you like you always do for me.” Ethan opened his eyes to see her little movie set up. Then he saw the cute grin on her face, grabbed her, and kissed her.

“You are the absolute best. Do you know that?” All she did was giggle at him and hug him.

“I got all vegan snacks, too, bub.”

“I’m gonna make you my wife one day, just so you know.” At that, Y/N felt her face heat up, so she turned around and walked to the laptop.

“I was thinking we could watch Monsters Inc. and just cuddle and have fun.” She didn’t know Ethan was right behind her until she felt him wrap his arms around her and press a quick kiss to her neck.

“I love you, ya know,” Ethan fell even more in love with her, which he didn’t even know was possible.

“I know. I love you so much more. You don’t know the half of it.” She said, untangling herself from Ethan to go sit on the blanket.

“You ready?” She questioned as the opening credits started rolling.

“Yeah.” Ethan replied.

He cuddled up against Y/N, reaching for a diet root beer. As the opening scene started playing, he kissed her head and said, “The best fuckin’ girlfriend I could ask for.”

The only thing Y/N did was cuddle into Ethan even more.

Did you pick a name for your car?

I think I’m going to call her Dolly, but I’m still deciding between Dolly and Jolene.

Both names mean so much to me because my grandfather passed away about two years ago and ever since I was little we always listened to Dolly Parton in the car. Jolene was one of our favorite songs to sing along with Coat of Many Colors and To Daddy.

I’m thinking if I name her Jolene, I will call her Jules. If I name her Dolly, I’ll call her my little doll or just Dolly.

You guys tell me which one sounds better to you. They’re both very special names to me!
