"N-nng--" Jude staggered backwards, clutching at his side where a large wound was carved into his flesh. Blood slid from the corners of his mouth along with down his sides, bubbling up through the gaps in his fingers. "G-ggh-- got-- m..e...." He manage to gasp out as he collapsed to his knees, coughing up what felt like a lump in his throat, only to blearily open his eyes to see blood splattered on the floor where he had been coughing. A couple of moments passed, then he fell forward on his front, his face pressed against the cold ground.

He closed his eyes, feeling dizzy and freezing and numb, and then his body relaxed, and everything went dark.

☁ - Our muses aren’t feeling so good, so they’re making comfort food.

What had caused this depression between the two of them?

Yui couldn’t remember, but she knew her little trick to make herself feel better: cooking. Cooking always made her feel better and, seeing as the dark haired captain she was currently visiting was under a cloud of depression too, she thought the best way to make themselves feel better would be to cook.

But what?

Oh, that was an easy answer: comfort food.

A hearty stew! It was rather chilly weather so a stew would do good for multiple reasons!

Dragging Schwann into the kitchen with her, she set up to make hamburger stew, made with plenty of bug chunks of veggies and plenty of meat.

Giving him a slight grin she started working on making the stew, Schwann slowly starting to get into the swing of what the young swordswoman was doing and joined in.

It wasn’t anything special, it was just a common stew, but as they cooked the air around them seemed to lightened, not as heavy with the depression as it had been. It was easy to make, so they had talked plenty, but it was nice.

It was better when they sat down to listen to the pot simmer, Schwann giving a small appreciative smile to Yui, who grinned back happily.

"I think this might just be the best stew that we’ve made."
