I forget I made this and then like once a year somebody buys one

I grabbed the recipe from the back of the somen noodle package, a recipe for bang bang noodles, and my love for baby bok choy and pushed them all together whispering “now kissssss”

Chicken with soy sauce, water, and Morin sauce, powdered garlic because I didn’t think to grab fresh, and diced green/spring onions on top. Baked in a covered dish at 480F for 27 minutes.

5C water brought to boil with .5 tsp each of sugar and salt, 1Tbs each of soy and mirin sauce, and half the remaining diced green onion. Somen noodles added when boiling, closely followed by baby bok choy.

Noodles and bbc drained in colander with a bowl underneath to reserve the water.

Water returned to the pan, bottled sesame sauce added. Slowly boiled down. When the chicken came out of the oven, the remaining juices were also added to this sauce.

Voila! I now have lunch for today and the rest of the work week for the low low price of, uh....three times what it would have cost to get frozen dinners. But this is homemade and I know it is full of deliciousness and zero kale or riced cauliflower, plus now I have all the ingredients for next time aside from fresh chicken and baby bok choy, woo!

As an added bonus, there is so much sauce left over I can pour it off in a spare jar when it cools for Daughterchild to use in her ramen. Double woo!

The pattern is the Leto Shawl from MyCrochetory if any of y’all want to make it yourself.

*checks time* awwww yiss, not midnight yet which means it is still

FINISHED! OBJECT! FRIDAAAAAAY!!!!

There will be more pictures in proper light, but you KNOW I couldn’t wait to take and share pictures right away. I’ve been working on this one for WEEKS!

And as you can see, it was promptly determined to be fit for a tiny fuzzy queen

For scale, this is on a queen size bed. And because I only finished a few minutes ago, it is as yet unblocked. The yarn is Nazli Gelin Garden Metallic; 99% Egyptian cotton, 1% glitter yarn. The pattern is mostly Rozetti Yarns Crochet Shawl free from Universal Yarns; I wasn’t wild about the edge as written so I did my own shenanigan for the final row.

As I have no special occasions in my future that this shawl would be great for, I am definitely putting it up for sale. Matrimony, festivals, wandering the moors with a candelabra, embracing your inner Stevie Nicks - choose your own occasion and make me an offer.

I finished a shawl! Knitting! Aaaaand I am probably going to have to frog it.

For reasons I have not been able to puzzle out, the top edge (which is the end of the rows) has NO stretch.

Therefore, the whole thing sort of buckles/puckers around the top center, which is where I started. There has got to be some method to having a springier edge, I just don’t know what it is.

I do like how the patterning in the body came out, anyway, and it was good practice. I’m faster and smoother now with both knitting and purling than I was when I began. Since that was, ultimately, the goal? I’m feeling pretty good about it overall.

MISTAKES ARE FOR LEARNING! FUCKUPS ALLOW FOR GROWTH.

if anybody has thoughts about how I might have achieved a stretchier edge with my row ends, please advise.

Progress update:

I am almost done with five repeats. Normally a full shawl is somewhere between 11-15 repeats. This, however, has it only as wide as my laptop keyboard.

I am now accepting guesses/suggestions for how many repeats this should/will be!
