I LOVED IT!!! 😍 My little brother and I went to see it together, and he generally hates going out AND watching movies so it just shows how much he wanted to support Markiplier lmao. He loved the movie too ofc!

dont we all worry about that 😭 dw you dont seem to be the insufferable type at all. even if someone was thats when i use the gift of the block button instead of being an ass to them. plus im very annoying about gihun so it would be hypocritical of me.
what do you like about inho?
he's very fun to watch. the push-and-pull of him acting to gain trust and also genuinely feeling positive emotions and bonding with others unintentionally must mean that he's in a constant battle with himself, which i think is very exciting and makes him very complex
i love that he's a trapped animal. i love that he is trapped in a cage of his own making
i love that he's a coward who doubles down at the first sign of gi-hun stumbling in his ideals - because the reality is that gi-hun didn't stumble at all, and he knows this (he watches gi-hun become distraught as a woman is killed in front of them during light's out! gi-hun clearly still cares!), he just needed an excuse to continue holding on to his sunk cost fallacy because he feels like there is nothing else for him anymore
i love that he started out as someone just like gi-hun, with strong ideals and a desire to help people, who didn't just lose faith in humanity after having to tear away his own in order to survive the games as a player (which is expanded upon in this post by @girlboss-sasuke), but actively whittled away his empathy, his emotions, by continuously reaffirming the idea that humans aren't worth saving - through reading literature and through forcing himself to watch more and more and more games
i love that ever since his games, he has felt like an alien among the rest of humanity, like someone who doesn't belong there anymore because he was responsible for so many deaths, even before he became the front man. like gi-hun, he was unable to integrate back into society because how do you keep on living, pretending like none of that ever happened? i love that this is also why he keeps going as the front man, even though it is killing him: just to keep reaffirming his world view
i love that there are subtle signs that he's not enjoying what he does, even before S2. @the-hopeful-squid wrote a beautiful post about their observations during a S1 rewatch (which you can find here), and i love how in hindsight there's so much internal conflict there, too. the way he isolates himself to watch RLGL, the way his hands tremble, the way he only starts drinking when the first player is shot, the way he turns on the music box when the sound of gunshots grows
i love that somewhere, he genuinely believes he is doing a good thing, even if he knows he's not. i love that to him, the games at least make sense, unlike the real world outside. i love that the games, to him, are a means to survive in the current societal climate, as LBH and HDH have said before: where gi-hun is someone who fights against the status quo, in-ho believes that the only way to survive it is to perpetuate it. it's why he serves the VIPs, too: they keep him afloat, give him a sense of control over a life that spiraled out of control so many years ago. it shows how disconnected he is from normal people
and this disconnect from others isn't just present when he's in-ho, it's there when he's young-il too. young-il says he is likeable, so he has no trouble teaming up with people, but god he is socially awkward. he has no clue what boundaries are: he stares too long, he stands too stiffly, he makes jokes at inappropriate times. i find those things in particular also relatable because he does read as autistic to me, and i am also autistic with the same kind of troubles
i love that gi-hun and in-ho are mirror images, as this post by @potatoof69 beautifully demonstrates: the world was kind to neither of us. you won the game but it took your best friend and your mother. i won the game but it took my wife and child. your wife and child still live yet you refuse to visit them. my mother and brother are alive yet i avoid them. if i had been a little stronger i could’ve become you. if you had been a little weaker you would’ve become me.
i look at you and it reminds me of what i could’ve been. you look at me and see what you might’ve turned into. i want to drag you down to hell with me, i want you to become a monster like me. but if you would pull me up to the light, could i become something like you?
i love that in-ho is angry, and bitter, and jealous. angry at gi-hun for being better than him, angry at himself for not being able to remain good. bitter that he turned into a monster, bitter that if they'd met under different circumstances, he could have been good friends with gi-hun and jung-bae like he was, briefly, as young-il. he's jealous of gi-hun for being able to stay faithful to his ideals, he's jealous of gi-hun for having a flame that doesn't die out even at his absolute lowest points
but also, he admires gi-hun. hopes, somewhere, that gi-hun is right. even if he actively works against him, he keeps him alive because somewhere, he wants gi-hun to prove him wrong, to keep fighting. he wants to break him, make him see that there is no point in struggling, and yet
i could keep going. i love his lopsided smile, i love his voice, i love his handsome face, i love his cute upturned nose, the deep wrinkles under his eyes, his beautiful and soft hair
and. i loved young-il. i love that young-il was partially an act, and yet partially a side of in-ho that he's been repressing and repressing and repressing, continuously, for nine years, dragged out of him at the slightest touch of camaraderie, of friendship, of hope and desire for others to survive
there is this one tag that you did a few days ago where you said something like “inho isnt proving anything but the fact that hes an asshole”
and i keep thinking about it because you are so correct. he literally sabotaged everything to make people look bad so that gihun would understand him but like ?? he made it that way. no inho people in general arent trash YOU are trash.
its so gay to put in that much work just for another man to have a mental breakdown enough to where they think like you now 😒 wtf
HI BLISS HI SWEETIE!!! my hands and wrists hurt really really bad but I wanted to answer you real quick so I’m using voice recorder, apologies if things look kind of weird
But yes, I meant every word of that 😭 IDK maybe I’m missing something but I really really don’t see how Inho’s actions prove anything about humanity or whatever. Gihun has made friends and allies and met some really good people willing to fight the system with him, so all Inho really proved was that the system sucks. Which everybody already knows. And here in the games Inho IS the fucking system like nothing would have happened the way that it did if he didn’t orchestrate everything
His whole plan is extremely self-indulgent and it’s very transparent in my opinion lmao. I feel like his whole ‘ humanity sucks’ lesson didn’t land at all?? Again, all he’s proving is that HE sucks 😭
Maybe it’ll make more sense next season but yeah, from here it just looks like one man’s obsession that he decided to make everyone’s problem lmao
imagine if in ho came into gi huns life as young il a lot sooner. like he pretends to help him track down the frontman. ive seen fics anout this but i just think its interesting to imagine what he would do
That is very interesting to think about indeed 👀 In your opinion, what do you think he would do?
ALSO THERE IS LITERALLY A FIC GOING ON MY REC LIST WITH THIS EXACT PLOT
Here it is!!! Also sorry I didn’t get to this ask sooner darlin for some reason I missed it
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ILY MY UNDEAD MOOT
OMG BEST CAKE EVER I WISH IT WAS REAL 😩😩😩🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 ily too Blissy my dear!!!! let’s dance
as a dark fic enjoyer i feel so privileged being in the inhun fandom. the amount of fics ive read that just hit the spot for the darkness i need, truly amazing. i hope this fandom never dies
GOD SAME!!! I read darkfic even for the wholesome ships I like (which FUN FACT is actually the majority of them lol, inhun is my first ‘toxic’ OTP in a long long while)
I love darkfic for some of the same reasons I love horror media and gross medical videos on YouTube, one of which is that I have ADHD and I need shocking things to stimulate my brain chemicals lol. And, yknow, fucked up shit happening to male characters is super cathartic for me 🧘🏻♀️ SO YEAH this fandom is a gift lol
to add: funny skeleton talking about fucked up shit and having a grand ol time in the inhun village
PERFECT A+ FULL MARKS 💯💯 Bliss if any of your professors fail you I will literally crawl under their sheets and jumpscare them Kayako-style trust
imagining sangwoo rolling in his grave as mr.stealyourgirl somehow gets gihun despite being the more toxic and more malicious one is so funny. he is absolutely fuming.
YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE SANGWOO
Poor bastard….. ✊😔 Look, it’s not his fault he lacks game but it IS his fault that he thought negging would work
