Ferriswheelshipping AU at a packed mall {XD I'm an obsessed fangirl when it comes to this ship}

Misty wrapped an arm around Rosa, pulling her close. People pressed in all around them as they waited in line for it.

The Ferris Wheel.It was a masterpiece, a big, round, romantic getaway. Stylized poke ball carriages rotated, swinging slightly as the wheel moved at a steady pace in a clockwise circle. Couples entered, pairs shutting the opaque glass behind them and escaping into the open air of the mall, even if just for a moment.Yet that moment hadn’t come, Misty thought, as someone stepped on her foot. She bit back a curse, her foot throbbing. “You okay?” Rosa said, turning to Misty to avoid a mother with a gaggle of children."Yeah," Misty managed, eyebrows still furrowed. She tried to focus on Rosa, but the ebbing pain in her foot kept her from doing so. Misty decided to try a different tactic: changing the topic. "Are you, uh… ready?" Misty whispered, leaning down to Rosa’s ear. "Y-Yes," Rosa said, smiling. She looked up at Misty and giggled. "I can’t believe we’re almost to the front. It’s been three hours."Yeah, Misty thought. All that for a fifteen minute ride on a giant, spinning wheel. She fought hard not to frown."Next!" the Ferris Wheel attended called. Misty and Rosa rushed forward, clambering into the cart. Misty slammed the door behind them, latching it as they settled down across from one another. The cart lurched forward and they both gasped, smiles spreading across their faces once more.All of the sounds of the mall vanished as the cart rose into the air, swaying slightly. Misty was speechless: for the first time all day, there was no sound, aside from their breathing. She peered out at the mall, the crowd below surging and ebbing much like waves or the tide. Yet up here, there was peace.And she had Rosa to share it with.Reaching out, Misty grasped Rosa’s hand, smiling. “I’m glad we came.”Rosa blushed. “Even though you hate the mall?”Misty nodded. “Even though I hate the mall.”
