"I wonder what will happen today!"
"What?! That doesn't even make sense! I'm just gonna eat it!"
Between Two Worlds (Closed RP - Canariis)
Misty wasn't at all sure where she was. Last she remembered, she had been cleaning the pools at the Cerulean City Gym, prepping them for a day filled with battles and swim lessons. It was exhausting work, especially since she handled it alone, but worthwhile: after all, it meant seeing the excited faces of the citizens and trainers that made their way to her gym.
However, Misty had slipped, something she never did, and tumbled into the water, and woken up...here, dripping wet and on a spit of land next to a clear, blue lake. Lush landscaped surrounded her, and the air simply felt... different, as if charged with magic.
It was a completely foreign place, far different than her Kanto region. Fortunately, she'd had her four pokemon in their capsule picketed in her jacket, and they had made the strange trip with her. It was pure luck that they were undamaged.
She tossed one out, and it landed in the lake next to her. With a roar, a large Gyrados erupted from the ball. It boomeranged back to her and she pocketed it, sighing.
"Gyrados," she began. " I don't think we're in Kanto anymore."
"What a quiet morning..."

Steady As She Goes [Open Thread - Open Worlds]
"Ugh! Too early!"
Misty groaned as she turned over, her hotel bed warm beneath her body. She felt comfortable, and for the first time in a long time, at rest and peaceful.
Still, sunlight was streaming into her room, burning into her eyes and forcing her hand into awareness. "Well, at least I'm not at home right now," she mused, yawning and stretching. "Better abroad than in Cerulean for a break after all!"
Knock, knock!
Misty blinked. Who'd be here this early? Ah, maybe room service? "Come in!"

So! Anyone up for a Pokemon battle?
Only if you can handle the best Water Trainer!
”Slow down, everyone! I’ve never had to write up a ticket for stampeding before, but don’t think I won’t do it! — I’m looking at you, Tauros!”
Misty leaned into the handles of her bike as she peddled hard, legs burning with exhaustion. "Geez, what a way for a gym leader to have to travel," she grumbled, rolling her eyes. She turned a corner, eyes falling back towards the ground. "This is so-" Clunk!
Misty sailed from her bike, screaming loudly as she tumbled head over heels past a form. "Hey, watch out, you stupid-" Oops

Summer Days [Open RP]
The sun beat down on Misty's skin, making her feel warm all over. It had been a long time since she'd travelled to another region, nevertheless to Hoenn, but after closing her gym for the League's requisite month long Summer break, she had decided to leave Kanto and travel, more for herself this time than ever. It hadn't been too a hard decision. Now, she lay on the beach, sprawled out sunning, the chirp of Winguls above her welcoming. "It doesn't get much better than this," she mused, body relaxing into the sand. "It doesn't get much better than this..."
Hey There Everyone
Misty-mun here. I've been absent for a long time. I'm super sorry. School, my health, and life has gotten in the way, and along the way, I had graduation and a lot to take care of. that being said, I'm back, but as an Indie blog. Feel free to keep following me: I want to start new threads and whatnot. I know the mods haven't been active at all, but I plan to be. Send me messages and whatnot if you wanna rp again. It's great to be back.
//Hey guys, Mercedez here. I'm back full force now that I've settled into classes. I hope to continue having wonderful threads with you all. I'll be going back all day and catching up. Sorry for my abscence!
//Sorry for all the inactivity guys. I've been in the process of moving back for college. Classes start tomorrow, but I'll be on today to rp!
"Will you ever trust me?" She asked, voice soft. Her tone was different this time. More raw, one that begged for the truth. The first time she asked him to trust her was fueled under the need to survive. Now, it was merely a question that he was at a loss to answer. Will he ever trust her? Again? Twice in one day she had betrayed the trust he would only bestowed upon closest friends or of his own kin. The blond blindly put the safety of his life on someone who tried to assassinate him in the first place. How messed up did that sound?
He opened his eyes as stormy lavender clashed with teary cerulean blue. Words wished to escape from his mouth but he found it much too hard to even lift his tongue. It felt terribly dry all of a sudden, like he had traversed through a desert without water.
She then pushed a plate of rice crackers closer. "You’ll need those so as not to loose your stomach on my table." Her eyebrow rose. "I know I must disgust you.” She spat the words. Was he disgusted at her? Matsuba knew he should be but...he just can't. Upset? Yes. Confused? Definitely. Disgusted? ....Strangely, no.
His free hand ran the fingers through his unruly blond hair, exhaling another breath noisily. "I...Kasumi-san....I'm telling you this truthfully." He looked at her seriously. "I'm angry, confused and betrayed. Anger at my inability to not figure this out sooner. Confused and betrayed at your conflicting actions. You were sent to...kill me but yet you didn't. Going so far to betray your own group for my safety."
He took a deep breath. "Yes. I'm upset. I'm still trying to process all of this and trusting you...that is an entire different story. Even with all of that, I...can't find it in me...to be disgusted at you."
His free hand ran the fingers through his unruly blond hair, exhaling another breath noisily. “I…Kasumi-san….I’m telling you this truthfully.” He looked at her seriously. “I’m angry, confused and betrayed. Anger at my inability to not figure this out sooner. Confused and betrayed at your conflicting actions. You were sent to…kill me but yet you didn’t. Going so far to betray your own group for my safety.”
Kasumi nodded. What else could she say? She had been sent to kill him, and had failed at even that. She had placed his life in danger not once, but twice, and by her own hand. He took a deep breath. “Yes. I’m upset. I’m still trying to process all of this and trusting you…that is an entire different story. Even with all of that, I…can’t find it in me…to be disgusted at you.” Kasumi nodded and set to tiring off the wrap. "There. It'll keep it dry and steady." She sighed. "I know this is a lot to take in. I appreciate you not… being disgusted in me." She paused, reaching out for a dumpling. She ate it in one bite. "More questions."
Kasumi smiled, chuckling humorless. “Seviper’s Claim is chasing us because they know who you are. Claims of the Akiyama have long since been silenced. It’s been ages since anyone has thought of your family. Yet… an informant inside of the Akiyama compound informed my-” Kasumi-san suddenly paused in her explanation, traces of shame evident on her face. He eyed her warily, mind whirling at her revelation. An informant inside the clan? If his father ever knew about this betrayal, heavens knows what he might do to the traitor.
“-my group, Seviper’s Claim, that there was a threat that might… upset the current order of Japan. That threat,” she paused once more, looking at Morty. “Is you." Even by mastering his emotions, Matsuba couldn't help but gaped openly at her. Suddenly everything clicked together. Her knowledge on him, her actions and such just made sense. Another thing that baffled him was his status as a threat. The status of clan heir shouldn't have caused such an uproar in the first place since the information was classified.
"Seviper’s Claim wants nothing more than for the age of Samurai to continue, but for reasons not yet explained to me, they fear your family might… alter that. Regardless, I was informed to seek out the eldest son, marked by the symbol of the Akiyama, and kill him by poison. The Claim has spotted you multiple times, so I had an idea of what you might look like. It would get rid of the threat. No heir, no problem.” Nausea bubbled within his throat and it took his entire willpower not to throw up there and then. Dear lord, all this time when he thought his safety was ensured...and then... He bit his bottom lip, eyeing the woman warily once more. She..admitted of committing assassination against him. That time at the tea house. If she really intended on killing him, it would have been oh so very easy...
Muttering, Kasumi-san whispered, “But I didn’t expect it to be you.” He wanted to ask more because what did she meant by that? Did she expected someone else? The answer he received left a bitter taste in his mouth, emotions whirling like leaf in a hurricane.
“Chiyo-baachan’s involvement is a bit more simple. She is my aunt, and my only connection to the outside world, save for being an assassin.” So the elderly woman had ties with an assassin. How could he not have figured this out sooner?
"I...forgive me Kasumi-san but...please give me a moment...to gather my wits...I'm overwhelmed by all these...sudden revelations." His hand shook, breath coming out in sharp bursts. Matsuba closed his eyes to block his vision for a moment.
"You gave me two answers so now I owe you one in return. What is it that you wish to know?" He asked, eyes still closed and he exhaled noisily.
Kasumi could see the disgust, could see his anger and bafflement. She felt immensely guilty, her gut twisting and clenching. It was quickly becoming apparent that Morty was emotionally deconstructing. "I…forgive me Kasumi-san but…please give me a moment…to gather my wits…I’m overwhelmed by all these…sudden revelations." His hand shook, breath coming out in sharp bursts. Matsuba closed his eyes to block his vision for a moment.
Kasumi nodded, pausing. She parted her lips to speak, but quickly went silent, continuing to wrap his wrist. If only he wasn't kept in the dark for so long..
"You gave me two answers so now I owe you one in return. What is it that you wish to know?" He asked, eyes still closed and he exhaled noisily. Kasumi nodded.
"Will you ever trust me?" Kasumi looked up at Morty, eyes shining with unshed tears. It was different than "Do you trust me?". It was a musing, a question begging the truth. With her pink, she nudged the plate of rice crackers closer. "You'll need those so as not to loose your stomach on my table." Her eyebrow rose. "I know I must disgust you." She spat the words.
