Silver waddled back to town, his dripping clothes left a trail from the river all the way into town. Feraligatr followed closely behind him. Poor Silver seemed miserable in his wet attire. But Feraligatr did not seem to regret a second. He snorted.
"What’s up?" Silver turned curiously. He looked at the crisp golden sky. It was getting late. And he hadn’t fed anyone on his team like he had promised. He groaned. "You think we’ll make it in time? Whatever. We better hustle. My socks are getting wet."
As he returned to the small town, the blonde foreigner was there just as well. He was almost tempted to spend the night outside but he would rather sleep in a bed with blankets than in a bed of grass. There was a foul taste in his mouth.
Feraligatr waited patiently. And he would wait all day if he had to. Of all his pokemon, Feraligatr was the most patient with Silver. It was a miracle he was able to put up with Silver’s brutish attitude.
The warmth of the bed had won his heart over. As much as he didn’t want to, he called Feraligatr back. The colossal pokemon would bring too much attention. As long as he avoided her, everything would be fine and dandy. As soon as he woke up the next morning, he would bolt out of here and maybe even fly to an entirely new town on Crobat. He was pretty inconspicuous for the most part. Hopefully that would be enough.
Serena booked her room, deciding that since her Pokemon had been fully healed, they could stay with her in the room. When she got in her room, she dumped her bag on the bedside cabinet. She looked at the next city that she could head too on the map she had gotten when she first arrived. Blackthorn seemed like the next best city, since she was pretty much done here in Mahogany.
"And this is the next place I'll check out when I get there," Serena said as she circled the famous Dragon's Den. She had always been fascinated by Dragon types, so visiting would be a great place to learn more about them.
"I better get an early start if I wanna make it there by lunch time," she said out loud. "Guess I better start getting ready for bed then."

OOC: Defiantly Pokemon. I was also super obsessed with Harvest Moon on the Gamecube. But I never stuck with it for very long because it took forever just to get past the major landmark year haha

Silver twisted his head upwards. He tapped Feraligatr’s dosing head. “Hey, Feraligatr, did you hear something? Sounded like that foreigner prick.” He looked over Feraligatr’s shoulder. He seemed to have heard so too. But he still would wait for his trainer’s instruction before making any rash decisions himself. “Think we should check it out?”
The crocodile pokemon waited for Silver to reel back the probably empty line before splashing its way back to shore. Silver leaped back onto land. The same question echoed into his ears.
"What am I going to do?”
Feraligatr circled in the water, patiently waiting for a conclusion. When Silver’s head began to glow an even hotter red from thinking, he was dosed by Feraligatr’s cold water. Although unhappy, it was necessary. “You’re a real jerk, y’know that?” He smiled one of those rare genuine smiles. “Guess I have no choice but to head back to town,” He hopped back onto the back of his starter as they started off towards town again.
Serena was busy walking back to town, Duke right on her heels. She was fast walking back to town, focusing on getting back to the Pokemon Center. The sun was starting to set, and temperatures were suppose to drop below freezing tonight. She didn't want to worry about Silver right now, just getting some place with a nice, cozy bed. With heat.
Plus, the day had drained her. Hanging around someone like Silver had mentally drained her. Which reminded her to take her medicine. "Come on Duke, lets get some rest before we head to the next town on our trip." Serena said to her Pokemon.

"Alright Feraligatr. This should be a good spot, don’t you think?" He commented. Only the water type had the ability to douse Silver’s temper. They had become best friends since the incident at Professor Elm’s lab.
Floating like a buoy, Silver cast his line again. This time, he was ready to wait for however long he needed to. Feraligatr seemed content enough just being in the refreshing river. It was natural for him though. Silver was glad to see his partner so content with such simplicity.
Until the strange frog pokemon glided across the water towards them. Having never seen such a breed, it was natural that he pull out his pokedex. To his dismay, it hadn’t been updated yet so there was no entry for this strange creature. “Lousy piece of- Dammit!” He shuffled the encyclopedia back into his pocket. In its mouth was a piece offering, a brand new super rod.
"You probably belong to that foreigner girl. Am I right?" The frog nodded and tried to make Silver accept the gift. What an insult. If it still works, then it’s still okay. Sure his rod was an old one but if it still worked then there was no need to get a new one. "You can keep that. Thanks but no thanks. I’ve had this old rod for awhile and I am not giving it up so easily." Without another word, Feraligatr knew to just swim away. There was no point in trying to stir up the water any more than it already was.
Serena sat against a tree doodling a Butterfree that had flown onto a branch. She hopped all had gone well with Silver, but in reality, she knew that probably wouldn't be the case. Serena stood up once the Butterfree took off, turning around to come face to face with her Greninja; who still had the Super Rod in his hand.
"Guess that didn't work, huh?" Serena asked. Duke shook his head and handed the rod back to Serena. She sat down back against her tree, wondering what to do. She couldn't well think if much; Silver was unlike someone that she had ever dealt with.
"UGH WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!" she shouted to the tree tops.

Returning to the river of their first encounter, Silver resumed his fishing. He had no other way of venting besides casting the line. But it was still not enough. He needed to battle something. He couldn’t care less how strong the pokemon was or what it was, he just needed to exhale.
"That stupid girl. Who does she think she’s talking to," He grumbled. Still, nothing seemed interested in his bait. He shuffled up and down the river, his impulsive attitude preventing him from being patient. He was never going to catch anything at this rate.
He was prepared to give up on fishing and move on to berry hunting. Apricorn trees grew at a speedy rate. There was sure to be some that was ripe. And if not, there was bound to be Pecha berries for the picking. There was an abundance of food around him if he looked hard enough.
"C’mon out, Feraligatr," He mindlessly summoned. Surprised by the sudden burst, Feraligatr was called into the river. But he did not question his trainer’s motives. He knew well not to do anything while his head was still hot. "We’re going downstream a little. Maybe it’ll be better to run into something." He saddled himself on the firm back of the big jaw pokemon.
Serena saw Silver riding a Feraligatr down stream. It seems he had given up on fishing, but Serena noticed that his rod wasn't in the best condition. So, she planned to fix that. Maybe then he'll actually be somewhat nice towards her. Or this could totally backfire, Serena thought to herself. Either way, she thought she needed to apologize. She had egged him on in the restaurant.
"Okay," she said, thinking of who the best would be to run the little errand for her. Duke would be perfect. "Okay buddy, come on out."
In a flash of light red light, her ninja frog Pokemon appeared. Greninja could easily walk on water and make his way toward the currently surfing duo in the river. Serena instructed her Pokemon what to do, and she watched from the forest lining as Duke made his way towards Silver with a spankin' brand new Super Rod.
Misfortune in Winter
He listened as she explained that she was from the faraway Kalos region, followed by foreign words that in a way, sounded quite beautiful. He had never been to that place but had heard about it only in passing. Supposedly, it was a really big region that embraced the modern lifestyle far better than Saffron City had, which was saying something. He remembered a trainer gossiping that a Prism Tower in Lumiose City was equivalent to the Tin Tower here.
"That language sounded...really nice. I've never heard it before in my life," he exclaimed honestly. The language sounded romantic almost. A yawn escaped his lips and he rubbed his eyes tiredly. The meds were kicking in again.
Serena smiled bashfully. She knew that Kalos was such a new region, most people knew nothing about it. She wondered if Morty had even seen part of the Kalos region, even if only on a television screen.
"Thats probably because you've never met a Kalosian until now," Serena said with a laugh. "I don't much, but I know a few phrases here and there. We speak french, which is what I was speaking. However, basically everyone in Kalos also speaks English, like the other regions do."

Silver reached across the table knocking over everything that stood in his way. The glasses shattered and crashed. His gloved hands lifted the girl by the collar. Her eyes tried so very hard to withdraw her tears but still couldn’t help but water her face. But she did not avert her eyes from his glare.
"I went through a lot of bullshit to get those badges. They’re simply ladders I had to climb to get to the top. But you don’t seem to be very smart. I needed them to get to the Elite Four. I needed them to prove my strength. That strength isn’t displayed by this dumb case."
He threw the girl back into her seat. “Thanks for the meal,” He stormed out leaving her nothing but the bill. Trailing behind him was a hatred only he could emit. He was just going back to fish. He still had a team to feed. He was already a crook. Any more commotion and the police might try and chase him again.
Serena watched Silver storm out of the building, adjusting her collar back to its original position. She sat back in her seat, eyes staring at the broken glass on the table. A waiter came over long after Silver had left, asking if Serena was alright. She handed him 200 poke dollars, saying they could use it to fix whatever had been broken, to pay for the bill, and as an apology for such a commotion. With that, she got up and left.
Serena headed to the Pokemon Center, thanking Nurse joy as she picked up her Pokemon from her care. Of course, Meowstic was more worried than usual. "It'll be okay little one," she told the psychic type, "I just think he needs some extra patience."
Serena knew where he would be headed. He knew he had mentioned feeding his whole team, so of course he would head back to the river and fish. "Come on, there's something I want you to help me with," she told Aura as they walked out of the center.

Silver snarled at the girl. He was done with his meal so he better leave now. He was one step away from punching the girl in the face. This girl had no idea what Silver went through when he first became a trainer. It was by being so strict that his team was so strong.
"And besides, if you don’t think badges matter, then why did you even get as many as you did in the first place?"
She had crossed the line. His hand flew across her face. A red imprint was left on her skin. He shook the air with fury. She had no idea what he had to endure to get those badges. And the humiliation he faced against the champion. And how he continued to feel that humiliation.
"I dare you to say that again in my face. Tell me what you said. I’m getting hard of hearing." He provoked. "Ask me again. Do it!" He was creating a scene that gathered the attention of the whole restaurant. His voice reverberated throughout the silent restaurant. The air shook his heart.
Serena saw the hand before it made contact with her skin, but he was too fast. She would have like to admit that the sound was worse than the actual pain, but she would be lying. Tears sprung to her eyes. She knew there was a mark on her cheek, but she tried to be strong. She wouldn't let him reduce her to the weeping girl she was before. She was never going to be that girl again.
Instead, she decided to push her luck. If he really did try anything worse than a petty slap on the face, Serena knew she had back up. Meowstic could read her mind and emotions because of their bond. Her team would rush out of the Pokemon center and defend her if he laid another hand on her. "Okay, since you put it so nicely," Serena said carefully. She was tip toeing around an explosive person, so she knew anything she said would provoke him even more. "I asked you why you collected all of the badges when you told me they mean nothing?"
She braced herself for the worst.
Vacation a la Ecruteak
"Ah, yes. The Bellchime Trail. Forgot about that for a moment," he replied sheepishly, fiddling the ends of his scarf. Well, nice to see you've embarrassed yourself in front of your crush, his mind mentally quipped. Shaking his head once, Morty gestured at one of the paths. "Bellchime Trail is not too far from here if we go down this road." Surprised that his voice remained steady, a thought came to mind. Well, it would be considered selfish to keep Serena to himself.
Unclipping a capsule from his belt, soon his ever loyal Gengar appeared. She looked at him confusedly before noticing Serena and Frigid. The smile on her face widened and she waved happily at them. Morty chuckled fondly at her action. "Gengar says she's happy to see you again."
"Oh thank you Morty," she told him once he pointed out the path they could take to reach trail. "I forgot which one was the right one. There are so many paths and trails around here that they get jumbled together."
Serena was happy when Morty let his Gengar out of her ball. Though most people were afraid of ghost types, Serena had no problem with them. "Well, I'm very happy to see you too Gengar. Frigid's been missing his trickster buddy." she said, watching as her Glaceon walked over to have a small chit chat with his friend.
