I recently read somewhere that Mattrex and Wolfang are apparently bitter rivals.

But why tho?

This is one of those reasons the Mavericks of Mega Man X are so much more interesting than those of the Zero and ZX games. Their lives don't revolve exclusively around the primary villains of their respective games. Even if there are some links back to Sigma or Hate or Doppler, they didn't start out as mindless slaves to evil.

Mattrex was just an illegal arms dealer who just happened to be a part of Repliforce's disaster response team, and Wolfang was just in charge of an investigation team.

But why do they hate each other? That's something I can't seem to find.

Ok so the thing with Maverick’s is that dispite being animal themed I don’t think they are inherently furrybait due to being Anime Robots first and foremost, But maybe I’m just not the type of guy who wants to put his dick in a robot, IDK.

Blizzard Wolfang's design is one of the coolest we've seen in the series-- an easy pick for me. The cool, melancholic guitar of this theme is instantly recognizable to me from the PS1 era of X games, and it's one that I listen to when going for walks at times. His personality also stands out quite a bit. His guilt runs deep and he even apologizes to X which most likely struck a chord. He is genuinely remorseful and also seems like he has an empathetic connection that outshines a lot of his peers.

The overall tragedy of his past is also something that really interests me. With Alia already being a prominent character in Let The Past Die, I wouldn't be surprised if this is mentioned in some capacity.

I decided to challenge myself in drawing my favourite wolf characters as it's Wolf Awareness Week! I started late but that's on me, lol!

Blizzard Wolfang is one of my favourite bosses from the Mega Man X series since he looks cool (pun not intended)! Despite his fierce look he's described as being responsible and level-headed.
