Further thoughts on kettling- it sounds like tonight the met police have used lots of small kettles.
Last night, legal observers stayed in the kettle until the end, telling people their rights and supporting them in not complying with the illegal use of section 50.
Have they deliberately attempted to cut people off from legal observers tonight?
If you can, pass this on to anyone who needs it:
If the police ask for your name/details on leaving the kettle, ask “what power?”. If they say section 50, they have to have suspicion that you specifically have committed an act of anti-social behaviour, so ask “What have I done as an individual?”- if you are able, make a recording of what the police say.
