❛ We walk as one, thank you Ms. Oxton. ❜
Something sparked dangerously from frayed wires long his back - he could feel, or perhaps not, the deadened sensation that tricked down into this legs. His levitation protocols were still online, but the omnic draped a hand on his lap, lifting a leg to resettle and reposition himself.
The Iris never left his side, he could feel it gathered about them all, but admist the battle and the fray, he had only the energy for so much healing and his own personal shields. He would never be so foolish as to carelessly throw his own safety beneath his brethren, but one could only ever wonder what more they could do.
Beside him, the Overwatch agent gently pressed a hand to his shoulder, a gesture of comfort and concern. It was a source of light within such chaos. Zenyatta hummed and bowed his head, regathering his mala from the ground - fallen once the shot had struck his back - and allowed Lena to provide cover as he pulled back, the two retreating towards the rest of the team. His hand stretched out, energy gathering from his beads, clinging to the speedster. Shields kept him at 70%, it wouldn’t be wise to stay out here in the open too long, but Lena was correct. Face no monster alone.
❛ The Iris watches over you, my child. ❜
