Even if I'm a lazy drawer and I reblog everything X) Oh, and WHY porn blogs are always trying to follow many blogs ??? I blocked them, obviously.
Tumblr’s new block feature offers several ways to block an unwelcome user via web or mobile. But if you have secondary blogs and you want zero contact from that user, block the user on each of your blogs.
For example, on the web, go to Account Settings. In the right column, you’ll see your primary blog and any secondary blogs. Do the following for each of your blogs. Click the blog name. Scroll to “Blocked Users.” Click the pencil icon. Enter the username you want to block and click the Block button.
Tumblr also offers this caveat for non-password-protected blogs: “Public blogs are still public blogs, and anything you post to a public blog can be seen by the public at large. Even if you block someone, they could still theoretically visit your URL and read your posts, just like any other member of the public. If they try to actually interact with your posts, though, they’ll be denied.”
Block blog
I keep think king about this. There should be, like a multi-fandom block blog, a kind of resource for shippers new to a particular tag or show, perhaps, who want to avoid the endless drama that pops up in tags. I'm thinking something simple like: fandom tumblrname link to the offensive post By providing a link, folks could judge for themselves whether or not to block someone. (Most of my blocks usually involve someone who thinks I'm interested in why they hate the characters/ships that I love -- and put it in the ship tag.) If you're the type to let a couple of offensive posts go, cool. If you're the more proactive type who wants to take swift action and block immediately, then, there you go. Could this be useful? Or would it just be inviting trouble -- rather, would it be more trouble than it's potentially worth? (Also, this would most assuredly NOT be a hate blog.) The new season is getting underway, and just like stinkbugs, the haters are trying to get into my house. Every time I block some whining, self-indulgent knucklehead, I think about this. Yeah, or nah?
