#block option

I really wish Tumblr was better at letting you say, “I don’t want to see or hear from [user]” and not only would that user not be able to see your blog or contact you but they couldn’t reblog your stuff from others or show up on your dashboard at all.

I’m saying this because I’m sick of seeing specific trash people on my dash but honestly this would be a life saver for people who have left abusive relationships or have been assaulted or harassed by users on Tumblr.

@staff pretty please improve the block option???

OH. MY. GOSH. Is it so wrong to feel unsafe around someone? No one owes you anything! If someone states that they feel unsafe around you and that they want to block you. Do NOT complain, protest, or be defensive! They’re blocking you for a reason. No one owes you anything, not an explanation, not a follow, a takeback. Nothing. 

If you are blocked: 

Put the blocker’s feelings into consideration 

Realize what you’re doing wrong 

If you can, try to correct your behavior! 

Respect their choice

Realize no one is obligated to like you

No one. 

Blocks options are there for a reason. To avoid those who make you feel unsafe.

Question about the blocking feature

Does it work for side blogs? This is a side blog and I just blocked someone on the wincest tag, but it mentioned my main blog during the process. So now I’m wondering, will it block that person from all of my blogs?

I’m loving the new block feature Tumblr just put out.

Sorry to anyone out there that gets blocked from ExploringGender in the next little bit, but we do not support ‘sissy’ blogs, people with dick pics for their icon, or other derogatory terms for the trans community.

In other news, taking time to go through the 1000+ followers on the blog has given me a chance to check out a few new blogs from people that look interesting.

YES THEY HAVE FIXED THE BLOCK OPTION!!

if you block someone now and they were following you, they automatically unfollow your account

you have to go back and reblock them for it to take effect though

praise jesus staff actually listened to us
