When I heard that National Bookstore was having a contest and that there will be 30 winners who will be invited for the book launch and block screening of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald I didn’t hesistate to join. After a few days they announced the winners and while I was looking at the list of winners I already feel a little sad even if I haven’t finished reading the list because I didn’t see my name, but when I got to the bottom of the list there it is! I saw my name and I almost jumped for joy but I contained myself because I was at the mall with my friend so I just made a little quiet shriek. It was held at Greenbelt 3 4th floor My Cinema last November 17, 2018.

I have never been to a block screening and a book launch event so I don’t have a single clue on what I’ll wear (like do I need to be in costume or what?) and what I’ll be experiencing. In the end I wore my green and gray long sleeved shirt so it matches my house color (any Slytherins out there!?) and I also curled my hair a little (I was aiming for a Queenie Goldstein look but it was far from that), we can also bring one companion and I invited my aunt since she’s also a big fan of the movies.

We arrived at Greenbelt 3 around 5:30pm, the screening was gonna start at 6pm so we still have time to look around and eat outside. They also have a photobooth so while waiting we can have our pictures taken. Before we watched the movie they also have a pre-program where we played some games,  sadly I didn’t win anything but I did have fun! They also hand out some food and drinks so we can eat while watching the movie.

So that’s it, my book launch and block screening experience! I’m gonna do another post and this time it’s my movie review for the movie so watch out for that!

Ola Blogosphere! I think you already knew what would be the content of my post right now 😂 YES! You’re right! It’s about the latest Summer Movie of the Box Office King and Queen also known as, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.

It was the second day of CHFIL. My fansclub which is Kathniel Twinkles, had their Blockscreening during the first day of showing but since I have a lot of things to do and it was Black Saturday (April 15, 2017), I was not able to watch it with them.

My co-admin, Ate Rochelle sent me a message and she was asking me if I am available on  April 16. Luckily, I am since it’s my OFF.

To cut the long story short, I was able to watched the film with Ate Roch, and 2 other KNT Admins, Blue Anne and Francine 😊

My Feedback to the Movie:

This movie reminded me of the feeling I have experienced when I ride in a roller coaster for the first time. You will cry, laugh, cry and laugh again.. Plus the kilig = Mixed emotions! 😍 😂

This movie is not only for the couple or those who are in a relationship but it can also be for a family, friends and workmates.

This film made me realized that “Life is too short so you better LIVE LIFE NOW.” 😊

Me and my fansclub was invited by Tita Long of KBBuddies to watch CHFIL in their block screening. They gave us 5 FREE Tickets! (Thanks Tita Long. 😊 Because of you, I can watch this movie again for the second time around!)

Before the BS starts, I heard one of the admins of KBB saying that Kathniel will drop by that’s why they started to prepare what’s gonna happen as soon as they arrive.

Flowers and cakes will be given PLUS a Photo Op. 😍😍😍

We are not part of KBB but what can we do, if the opportunity is already there right?! We’ve been waiting this for so long..

To have a picture with Kathniel. 😍

Then the time has come and they were already inside the Dolphy Theater. 😍

When half of the guests and admins are already done with the photo op., me and my squad went to the stage and do some ninja moves so we can also have a picture with either Kath/DJ.

Kath was surrounded by the KBB Admins and DJ was free so we immediately grab that chance to have a photo with him and tadaaa!

First time in the history of our lives!!! 😍 Thank you so much DJ! Advance Hppy 22nd Birthday, Godbless you always. We love you to the moon and back 💙💙💙

To my squad that day, Thank you so much! I had fun with you guys. 😘 Til next time. 😉

A Significant Affair for the Elderly

Xavier University Psychology Society (XUPS) usually organizes meaningful events. Meaning, they do not organize events just for the sake of just having fun. Their events are well planned, and most of all, the funds that they raise from a certain event are put to good use that is because the volunteers and staffs of this organization refuse to settle for mediocrity. And last 19th of November 2015, XUPS did it again.

Xavier University Psychology Society organized a block screening of the finale of Suzanne Collins’ book series, The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2. The event was tag lined, “Watch a Movie, Help the Elderly”. The officers and volunteers worked hard on selling the tickets for the movie; each sold for 300 pesos, inclusive of snacks, freebies, a reservation slot for the horror house ticket, and a chance to win prizes ranging from a horror house ticket to t-shirts.

The beneficiaries of this project were the grandparents living in St. Joseph’s Golden Home Foundation Inc., a non-profit charitable foundation that serves as a home to the grandparents who were neglected and abandoned by their loved ones who were supposed to be the ones taking care of them. With this in mind, Xavier University Psychology Society took the initiative to lend a helping hand.

Inside the movie house filled with people, one can hear the ones inside shrieking for how handsomely brave Gale and Peeta are, some were kicking their legs cheering for Katniss and her team, their exhilaration for Snow’s downfall were obviously heard, and the house was in uproar particularly when Katniss turned the table when she shot Coin instead of Snow. Observing all these happen inside the movie house, seeing the joy of the movie watchers just showed beyond doubt that the project of XUPS was indeed successful. Aside from yearning to watch the epic finale of the successful movie series, those who chose to watch and support the project of this organization surely shared the same goal XUPS had in mind and that was to give warmth to the elderly from St. Joseph especially at the season when they probably wanted company the most --- Christmas.

Under God’s Grace, Xavier University Psychology Society managed to gather a favourable amount of money to give the residents of St. Joseph’s Golden Home Foundation Inc. a merry little Christmas that we think they all deserve, to let them know that they are not forgotten, and above all they are loved.
