My heart is breaking for our Abdul Rahman [@abdulrahman-family], as I am writing this. Gaza is under blockade again. 💔
His mother is fighting an aggressive cancer, and she is suffering from malnutrition, anemia, and inflammation. Her body is weak, and she has been hospitalized. 💔
Abdul Rahman is brokenhearted and is carrying unbearable and unimaginable pain. Can you imagine this heaviness?
The blockade is not just postponing the life-saving evacuation she needs, but it's also blocking the entrance of food into Gaza; famine is again weaponized, and therefore, the prices of food available on the markets in Gaza are again skyrocketing.
Imagine all this, while your mother's body needs nutrition to keep fighting the cancer...💔
These are the heaviest moments for our dear Abdul Rahman and his family. He is constantly crying, and it breaks my soul.💔😭😭 The family needs our support now more than ever. Please don't abandon them in their darkest times. 💔

*This fundraiser campaign has double verification. It was also verified by two activists from the Slovenian Movement for Palestinian's Rights. Furthermore, Abdul Rahman's identity has also been verified by a well-known Palestinian researcher affiliated with a recognized human rights organization.

Abdul Rahman's mother already got a referral for a medical evacuation by the Ministry of Health in Gaza. Her latest results showed a mixed response to chemotherapy in Gaza, and she urgently needs treatment abroad, including immunotherapy and surgery. But now the Rafah crossing is closed again, her condition is currently critical, and Abdul Rahman is devastated. 💔
That's why I am not only asking you to share this, but to WRITE to the world leaders and responsible institutions [like the UN] and demand from them to open the Rafah crossing, stop killing and starving our friends in Gaza, and enable medical evacuations ASAP! That is a form of protest that creates political pressure.
Please do this if you care about people from Gaza, like Abdul Rahman and his mother. 🙏
🇾🇪 BREAKING | Yemeni Armed Forces announces resumption of its ban on the passage of all Israeli ships through the Red and Arabian Seas, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden, effective immediately.
This comes following the expiration of a deadline given by Ansarallah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi for mediators to pressure Israel into reopening Gaza’s crossings and allowing aid to enter.
The ban will remain in place until these conditions are met, and any Israeli vessel attempting to pass through the designated area will be targeted.
Are the flotilla people and their friends right thast the blockade is illegal?
I went into detail on the blockade by Israel and Egypt about a year ago, around the same time I explained how full of shit Greta's flotilla was.
The claim that the blockade is a violation of international law completely ignores how the laws of war actually work.
Under Article 51 of the UN Charter, every country has an inherent right to self-defense. In an ongoing armed conflict, a blockade is a standard, legally recognized tool used to cut off an enemy's supply lines and stop them from importing weapons.
International law regulates blockades. According to the San Remo Manual, a blockade is perfectly legal as long as it is officially declared, actually enforced, and doesn't have the sole purpose of starving civilians.
Because this maritime blockade is specifically designed to stop military contraband (like rockets and dual-use materials) while allowing inspected humanitarian aid through, it ticks every legal box.
The United Nations itself thoroughly investigated this and published the Palmer Report.
The UN panel explicitly concluded that the naval blockade of Gaza is both legal and a legitimate security measure to prevent weapons smuggling.
I'd argue it isn't as effective as it should be - but it's legal.
When you add the land borders to the mix, the argument collapses entirely. Egypt is a sovereign nation. Under international law, a sovereign state has an absolute right to control its own borders. Egypt has no legal obligation to keep its frontier open to a territory run by an armed group it considers a national security threat.
Neither Israel nor Egypt is legally required to maintain open, uninspected trade routes with a hostile entity - and Hamas has been relentlessly hostile to both Israeli and Egyptian civilians.
In September, and for the fourth consecutive year, U.S. President Joe Biden renewed U.S. sanctions on Cuba under the Trading with the Enemy
By Alejandra Garcia
In September, and for the fourth consecutive year, U.S. President Joe Biden renewed U.S. sanctions on Cuba under the Trading with the Enemy Act (TWEA), an archaic 1917 law designed to cut off trade with Germany during World War I and a significant pillar of the blockade. The announcement means that the economic blockade, a policy upheld by both Republican and Democratic administrations for over six decades, will remain imposed on the island through 2025, despite Cuba’s urgent calls for it to end. Let’s not forget that it was Biden, the democrat who while campaigning for president, said he would improve relations with us.
Demonstrators said the blockade could cause Cuba to run out of oil by month's end.
BOSTON —
President Donald Trump's oil blockade on Cuba caused concern among demonstrators who took to the streets of Boston, Massachusetts, to support the island nation.
Demonstrators said the blockade could cause Cuba to run out of oil by month's end.
The Trump administration is also imposing tariffs on any country that sells oil to the island nation.
"The emergency declaration is based on the preposterous lie that Cuba poses an imminent threat to the National Security of the United States," a spokesperson for the Massachusetts Peace Action wrote in a press release.
Several protesters gathered outside the MBTA's Park Street station, holding signs of support for Cuba.
In an executive order, President Trump said the "policies, practices, and actions of the Government of Cuba constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat."
He told reporters on Friday the order is not meant to choke off Cuba's economy, but added he doesn't think the island nation can withstand the blockade.
